to provide a meaningful learning experience to the students.

My Reflection/Insight

Why is curriculum important?

Curriculum is important because it is the “foundation” of

any formal education. Without it, schools cannot exist. It is the
curriculum that they offer to the learners. It plays a vital role in
every learning institution for it is the planned and guided learning
experiences and intended learning outcomes, formulated through
the systematic reconstruction of knowledge and experiences,
under the provision of the school, for the learners’ continuous
growth in social competence.

How can one enrich the curriculum in every school?

Curriculum can be enhanced through process. Curriculum cannot be

made without a basis. First, there should be a diagnosis of the needs of the
learners. A teacher as a curriculum expert must know the strength,
weaknesses, interest levels, learning styles, multiple intelligences and other
factors from his learners. After which, he will formulate his objectives based
from the prescribed aims and objectives from the curriculum. In here, he must
consider his diagnosis. Next, he will select and organize the contexts which
are most needed by his learners. Then he will organize the learning
experiences which are effective for all the leaners. Lastly, he will determine
of what to evaluate and his means to evaluate

My Reflection/Insight

Why is curriculum important?

I think that curriculum is important because this is the

heart of all the areas or the topics of study, in the sense that the
curriculum gives the guide of every teacher on how to facilitate
the learning of the students, also the teachers will be guided on
the sequence in delivering the lessons.

How can one enrich the curriculum in every school?

One thing for sure is true "there is no such as permanent in this world
it always changes." But how can one enrich the curriculum in every school? I
think enriching the curriculum in every school is the usage of strategies, being
able to be informed on what are new and will understand the learners. There
is a really a need to enhance a curriculum because individual’s interest also
changes and the school must have coped with the upgrading system of
education of other country or even other schools to make also students be
competitive, skilled and proficient individuals.

FIELD STUDY 4-EXPLORING THE CURRICULUM

My Reflection/Insight

Why is curriculum important?

Curriculum is important because the curriculum identifies the

learning outcomes, standards and core competencies that students
must demonstrate before advancing to the next level. Administrators
follow detailed curriculum to help students achieve state and
national standards of academic performance. School’s curriculum
informs teachers what skills must be taught at each grade level to
ultimately prepare students for postsecondary education or a
curriculum outlines for students a sequence of courses and tasks that
must be successfully completed to master a subject and earn a
diploma or degree. Curriculum is also intended to teach students the
importance of responsibility, hard work and responsible citizenship.

How can one enrich the curriculum in every school?

We can enrich the curriculum in every school if we extend the regular

curriculum by providing students a wide range of activities to experiences.
Make learning more meaningful and enjoyable, by making the content and
process learned in a context of real and present problems. Let the students to
construct their own meaning through knowledge and skills application.

ROMMEL ANTHONY D. ILDEFONSO

FIELD STUDY 4-EXPLORING THE CURRICULUM

My Reflection/Insight

Why is curriculum important?

It is important because curriculum serves as the

medium or guide and sequences on the course of
education to be successfully attained and completely
mastered. This will be the basis of teacher to taught and
students to do. Indeed, it is expected to imply the
importance of being a responsible and hardworking.

How can one enrich the curriculum in every school?

Curriculum is the foundation of all specific education, yet, it is needed

to enhance for the learners to have a sustainable and wide range of
experiences by applying different strategies being updated on what is new and
comprehend the learners by making the content meaningful with basis.
