Experience
SPSYSTEMS Hyderabad, India
Co-founder / Lead Engineer June ’16 – present
• Worked from ideation to production of multiple electronic products.
• Determined the optimal product system architecture using the specified product goals.
• Involved in detailed engineering and created functional, high-fidelity, production intent
prototypes while keeping in view of the manufacturing feasibility and NRE analysis.
• Developed and deployed connected hardware connected via WiFi,Bluetooth.
• Developed Firmware and custom Bootloaders.
• Designed high density multi layered boards which include digital as well as mixed-signal
designs.

Projects
• Sensor System for electronic game board for Chess
Overview : Developed a novel inductive sensing system to be used in electronic game
board applications resulting in low cost and accurate sensors for game
broadcasting
Responsibilities
– Developed a resource efficient design with STM32F401, two TI’s LDC1614 and a LDC1101
– Developed planar PCB inductors with near uniform magnetic field. This is achieved by
employing extensive EM simulations using Ansys maxwell modeling suite.
– Designed the sensor system with low power considerations achieving less than 10uA at
standby.
• Sensor System for electronic game board for GO
Overview : Designed, developed and manufactured inductive sensing system with
361(19x19) sensors to be used for e-board for GO. This is the first scalable
design of a GO e-board ever.
Responsibilities
– Mitigated DFM challenges presented due to incorporating 361 sensors on a large PCB.
– Developed a novel multiplexing schema for high SNR from sensor clusters.
– Developed a processing architecture with six low cost micro-controllers working in an
orchestrated fashion to enable real time data processing/enhancement.
– Implemented predictive/adaptive sensor data thresholding.
• Automated Flash, Test and Analysis Rig
Overview : Developed a Flash, test and analysis rig for flashing firmware and stream-
ing sensor data from production boards to perform test, analysis and
sensor calibration
Responsibilities
– Implemented USB DFU device class for easy firmware upgrade via usb port.
– Implemented systems in MATLAB to analyze streamed sensor data and find sensor fields
with non-nominal readings and suggest software calibration for those sensor fields.
– Implemented a comprehensive test environment complete with GUI using electron js.
• Low power Audio module
Overview : Developed and integrated a low power audio module to an existing mass
market product giving it audio abilities
Responsibilities
– Implemented firmware on STM32L471 with freeRTOS, MP3 decoder, I2S driver for CS4344
and TLV320DAC3203.
– Wrote scripts for converting MP3 into mono, 48kbps raw file.
– Made use of low power firmware and hardware design techniques to the keep the power
consumption well below 0.1uA in standby mode.
• IAP for existing product
Overview : Developed and integrated an In circuit Application programmer to an
existing product
Responsibilities
– Implemented a custom bootloader for SMT32L471RG for reading the new firmware packets
via I2C and placing them at appropriate memory location.
• Internet of Things
Overview : Integrated wifi and BLE modules with several products
Responsibilities
– Implemented a customized API compatible server for interacting with devices speaking the
spark-protocol from Particle.io
– Enabled OTA firmware upgrades to existing products.
• Created several Single Board Computers and their custom BSPs with specific optimizations
for ultra low power applications.
