DAYTACA, EdD jon Superintendent SUBJECT: | JOURNALISM ENHANCEMENT OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL PAPER ADVISERS AND CAMPUS JOURNALISTS Date: November 14 and 15, 2019 Pursuant to Republic Act 7079, otherwise known as the Campus Journalism Act of 1991 and with the Divisions’ mission to promote excellence in Campus Journalism, the Schools Division of Benguet will conduct a two day Journalism Cliniquing of Elementary and Secondary School Paper advisers and Campus Journalists on November 14-15, 2019 at a venue to be announced later. The quest for excellence in Journalism pushes through the enhancement of skills among school paper advisers (SPAs) and Campus Journalists (CJs). They, being on the front line of the battle have to be provided with opportunities to develop. their journalistic skills to the utmost. Furthermore, the cliniquing to be conducted will be an avenue for the school paper advisers and campus journalists to prepare for the Regional Schools Press Conference on November 25 to 29 hosted by the Kalinga Division. 2. The enhancement aims to: ‘a, equip school paper advisers and campus journalists with the much needed skills in the field of Journalism; b. come up with journalistic outputs as evidence of their increase competence; c.. enhance the coaching and mentoring skills of school paper advisers. 3. The top three DSPC winners in the identified individual category in English and Filipino (Elementary and Secondary) are the participants to this workshop.
