 Introduction
The Logic circuits for digital clock is sequential and
combinational circuit that is consisting of logic gates whose
outputs at any time are determined from only the present
combination of inputs. A combinational circuit performs an
operation that can be specified logically by a set of Boolean
functions. In contrast, sequential circuits employ storage
elements in addition to logic gates. Their outputs are a
function the inputs and the state of the storage elements.
Because the state of the storage elements is a function of
previous inputs, the outputs of a sequential circuit depend not
only on present values of inputs, but also on past inputs, and
the circuit behavior must be specified by a time, sequence of
inputs and internal states.

 Objectives

To design and implement a digital clock circuit.

 Methodology

 Equipment :
- 6 ICs of 7490N
- 6 ICs of 7447N
- 6 seven segments
- 3 AND gates
- Clock
- VCC
- Ground

 Procedures
- To let the first seven segment (LSB) counts from 0 to 9.
- After the first seven segments finish its counting the
second seven segment will start counting but from 0 to 5.
- After 59 pulses the third seven segment will start counting
from 1 to 9.
- The forth seven segment is connected to the output of the
third seven segment to give it a pulse after the 9th pulse.
- After the forth seven segments finish its counting the fifth
seven segment will start counting from 0 to 9.
- The last seven segment will count when the fifth seven
segment finish and give a pulse to the last seven segment.

 Conclusion :
Digital clock is useful logic circuit to know the time that
consists of logic gates whose outputs at any time are
determined from only the present combination of inputs. A
combinational circuit performs an operation that can be
specified logically by a set of Boolean functions. In contrast,
sequential circuits employ storage elements in addition to
logic gates. Their outputs are a function the inputs and the
state of the storage elements. Because the state of the storage
elements is a function of previous inputs, the outputs of a
sequential circuit depend not only on present values of inputs,
but also on past inputs, and the circuit behavior must be
specified by a time, sequence of inputs and internal states.
