MOVIE CRITIQUE
“STEP UP: ALL IN”
People are very artistic in nature, they can create amazing, awesome and outstanding
masterpieces. Every human beings have unique talents, skills and abilities given by God. But some
humans are afraid to showcase what unique talents they have because some of us are afraid of
failure and expectations from the others. But as what the quotation says “You are an artist and your
life is a masterpiece”, we humans have the ability to show something that is magical and something
that is excellent.
The movie entitled “Step up: all in”, is one of the best representation of performance art.
The narrator describes the overall message of the theme in a form of art. The movie revolves on
the story of a group of dancers who did not give up to their dreams. “Sean” one of the main
character in the movie faced conflict because of dancing, but at the same time He resolve their
problem through dancing.
Everything have a perfect timing”, this is what the characters shows in the movie, not all
moment is our moment and not all times we are just a shadow. Every one of us have a very perfect
time to shine. Just like in the movie, at first, they are rejected in every auditions they use to join.
But because of much effort and great patience, the characters are able to bring home the bacon.
They really prove that struggles are not a hindrance for them to perform very well and to show
who they really are. Everything begins in a form of art and it also ended just the same. However,
art in the movie is very catchy for me because I can easily understand what they wanted to portray.
They faced struggles and challenges because of art, but the way they cope up with their struggles,
is a form of art.
In the very beginning of the movie the narrator describes how important dancing is. The
main character together with his crews use dancing as an instrument in showing what is something
unique in them. But everything in this world do not exist without judgments and contradicting
factors. We humans cannot be able to escape from judgment and other negative feedbacks or
comments. Just like what the main characters experience in the said movie. Others doubt to their
ability as dancers because they believe that the other group of dancers are much better than them.
But for me they are perfect for they are doing their best without hurting other people.
Family is an art and one of the greatest gifts given to us by the almighty father in heaven.
In the movie entitled “step up: all in”, the main character proves that “once a family stays a family
together and forever.” Sean the name of the main character in the movie lost his old family but he
uses dancing as his main key to make a new way to be with them again. Though he found another
family, he always stays the same, that makes him complete.
Dancing is an art that uses moves and follows different steps, though other steps are a bit
complicated, trusting in your own ability is the main key to come up to a very wonderful and

ourselves that we are all an artist, and we are given special ability to make or create an art form
that best represents our real personality.
