SERVICE AGREEMENT
(TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER)
Title of research/ extension program:
“ARCHITECTURE DEPARTMENT AND NATIONAL/ LOCAL GOVERNMENT
COLLABORATION FOR THESIS CLASS 2019-2020”

Description:

As part of the mandate for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to support
National, Regional and Local Development Plans (RA 7722) stipulated in the Policies,
Standards and Guidelines for BS Architecture education, the Architecture Department of
CAFA-TUP shall formulate research proposals in collaboration with selected
government agency and/or local government unit.

This Project will be jointly undertaken by the Architectural Design 10 Class from
the Architecture Department of the Technological University of the Philippines through
the initiative of the Research Leaders and the private owner of the site. This service
agreement will provide the following:

Feasibility Study and Architectural Planning on “Proposed Cultural Community


and Tourism Complex for the Badjao in Davao Region”

Duration: 2 Semesters

Joint Responsibilities:

1. Establish proper channels for collaborating with project proponents and end
users.
2. Provide and prepare secondary data needed in the conduct of the feasibility
studies;
3. Consult and coordinate on needs assessment, site analysis, user identification
and other pertinent studies related to architecture planning.

Responsibilities of ARD, CAFA-TUP:

1. Conduct feasibility research and survey;


2. Translate the feasibility study into an architectural proposal;
3. Consult and coordinate with the proper LGU offices;
4. Provide the Owner of the Market a copy of the approved research output and
architectural plans.
Responsibilities of Owner of the Selected Site for the proposal:

1. Coordinate with the Researcher for their opinion and suggestions to the proposal.

Effectivity:

This agreement shall become effective on the approval of the request to conduct
research. Thesis deliberation schedules will be announced later.
