upper center pillar.

3. Remove the bolt and the seat belt anchor on the
lower center pillar.

1. Install the seat belt retractor with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt retractor bolts to 38 N.m
(28 lb ft).

9.1.5.2 Seat Belt Replacement: Center


Rear
Removal Procedure
1. Pull the rear seat knob and fold the rear seat
cushion.
2. Remove the bolts and the seat belt anchors.

3. Remove the left rear cargo area trim panel and


remove the bolt from the rear center seat belt
retractor.

1. Install the seat belt anchors with the bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt anchor bolts to 38 N.m
(28 lb ft).

2. Install the rear center seat belt retractor with the


bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the rear center seat belt retractor bolts to
38 N.m (28 lb ft).
3. Install the rear cargo area trim panel and unfold
the rear seat.

9.1.5.3 Shoulder Belt Replacement - Rear


Removal Procedure
1. Open the rear cargo area.
2. Remove the rear cargo area trim panel. Refer to
8.11.2.1 Compartment Trim Panel Replacement
- Cargo Area Rear (Notchback) in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the bolt and the seat belt retractor in the
rear cargo area.

4. Remove the bolt and the seat belt anchor on the


rear quarter upper pillar.

5. Pull the rear seat knob and fold the rear seat
cushion.
6. Remove the seat belt with bolt.

1. Install the seat belt retractor in the rear cargo
area with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt retractor bolts to 38 N.m
(28 lb ft).

3. Install the seat belt anchor to the rear quarter


upper pillar with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt retaining bolts to 38 N.m
(28 lb ft).
4. Install the rear cargo area trim panel. Refer to
8.11.2.1 Compartment Trim Panel Replacement
- Cargo Area Rear (Notchback) in Interior Trim.
5. Install the rear seat cushion and unfold the seat
back. Refer to 8.16.2.9 Seat Back Replacement -
Rear Split Folding in Seats.

9.1.5.4 Seat Belt Height Adjuster


Replacement - Front
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the upper center pillar trim panel. Refer
to 8.11.2.10 Trim Panel Replacement - Upper
Center Pillar in Interior Trim (Notchback).
2. Remove the bolts and the seat belt height
adjuster.

Tighten
Tighten the seat belt adjuster bolts to 27 N.m
(20 lb ft) (Notchback).
2. Install the upper center pillar trim panel. Refer to

Center Pillar in Interior Trim (Notchback).
