Background of the Study

Introduction

People all known that mosquitos are every where they bring a lots of diseases to us
they are very dangerous because they can bring Dengue. And people all know that
Dengue could kill a of a person, many people are aware to this disease so the DOH
(Department of Health) make a vaccine called Dengvaxia this vaccine given to many
children but this does not work their was many children die and the blame accusations
to the DOH (Department of Health). The DOH (Department of Health) stopped this
operation. And the DOH (Department of Health) say that the effective way to avoid
Dengue is the 4-S.
But what is 4-S. 4-S strategy in their households. 4-S stands for “Search and destroy”
mosquito-breeding sites, employ “Self-protection measures” (i.e. wearing long pants and
long sleeved shirts, and daily use of mosquito repellent), “Seek early consultation”,
and “Support fogging/spraying” only in hotspot areas where increase in cases is
registered for two consecutive weeks to prevent an impending outbreak.

But how to do this 4-S if you don’t have time do this 4-S, what will you do? You will just
spray with insecticides that you will spray every morning, every noon and even at night it
is very hard to use insecticides so the researchers invented a repellent that is not
consumed much time.
This the “Mosquito Gel Air Repellent” this product can repel mosquitos away and can
save your time because you will just put it to a certain place and the scent of the lemon
grass and garlic will spread and the mosquitos will desert that place and never been
comeback anymore and there’s more it is very safe, eco friendly, Non-toxic, and 100%

And every individual wants to be their family safe right, but how to protect our
families from Dengue , so the answer is this product can protect them so they will be
safe and Dengue free so you can play with them or bonding with them if want and
can say that they are safe from Dengue.
But is this effective, Yes because it has active ingredients like lemon grass and
according to some research lemongrass contains citronella oil and musk scents that
attract mosquitoes such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid found in humans.
In other words, by applying repellent with citronella oil ingredients, it blocks the
scents being sensed by mosquitoes. This makes it harder for mosquitoes to locate you.
Research has shown that citronella helps to reduce mosquito landing around 40%.It is
important to highlight that these natural repellents provide some form of repellent
against mosquitoes.

And this product have garlic and according to Patrick Parker , Save a Tree Plant
Health Care Program Director. One treatment with garlic is effective for 2 weeks and
can repel insects for up to one month. Moreover, garlic is easy on the environment.
Parker states, “It is a natural extract and does not affect insects that are beneficial to
suburban landscapes.” Garlic bulbs contain an amino acid that converts to a
substance called allicin when crushed, blended or chopped. The characteristic odor
released as a result of this process has powerful properties. “When garlic extract is
absorbed by a plant, biochemical changes take place in its foliage which cause it to
actively repel insects,” says Parker, “In short, plants are provided with a long-lasting
case of ‘garlic breath’ that causes insects to move elsewhere.” However, the treatment
is odorless to humans within minutes of application. Insects are naturally repulsed by the
presence of the botanical extract. Therefore, they do not build up a resistance to garlic
treatments. Garlic can also be applied to many sensitive trees, shrubs and turf that
traditional treatments would harm. Parker added, “I get excited whenever a natural

But what is the advantages of the researchers product to other product is because
the researchers product is very environment friendly because it is made from all natural
ingredients compared to other insecticides that is made up from chemicals and toxic
and every individuals know that chemicals and toxic are bad to the health of people
so it is good to use the researcher product than the other products.

And how to make this product it is easy as abc because all ingredients are can
found to every one kitchen and this is the ingredients, first of all and very important the
lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) garlic (Allium sativum) unflavored gelatin, and salt.
First boil some water then add 3 leaves of lemongrass and chopped garlic and boiled
for 2 minutes then strain the mixture to separate the garlic and lemongrass to their
extract and set aside. Second on a clean container put some hot water until the
container will be full then and the unflavored gelatin powder and put the extract of the
lemongrass and garlic and put a little bit of salt and left in 1 hour and the product is
done, it is very easy.
Compared to the other products that has Fumigants that are toxic compounds that
enter the respiratory system of the insect through its spiracles, or breathing openings.
They include such chemicals as hydrogen cyanide, naphthalene, nicotine, and methyl
bromide and are used mainly for killing insect pests of stored products or for fumigating
nursery stock, can you imagine how are very dangerous of the insecticides to us.
