CHAPTER IV

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the data gathered to answer the specific problem of the
study, statistical results, analysis of data and interpretation of findings are also presented
in this section

Profile of the Student Respondents

The profile of the students respondents in terms of age, sex, and academic marks
are shown in table

Table 2 shows the frequency and percent distribution of the thirty (30) respondents
by age.

Table 2 shows that under the age of 14, it has a frequency of 16 and a percentage
of 53.33. Under the age of 15, has a frequency of 13 and a percentage of 43.33. Lastly,
the age under 16 has a frequency of 1 and a percentage of 3.33.

Table 3 shows the frequency and percent distribution of the thirty (30) respondents
by sex.

Table 3 shows that there are female students with a frequency of 25, and a
percentage of 83.33. It also shows that there are male students with a frequency of 5,
and a percentage of 16.67.

by academic marks

Table 4 shows the academic marks of students according to most the usual time
that they feel lazy. Grades from 85-87 has a frequency of 14 and a percentage of 46.67,
from 82-84 has a frequency of 10 and a percentage of 33.33, from 79-81 has a frequency
of 3 and a percentage of 10, from 76-78 has a frequency of 2 and a percentage of 6.67,
from 88-90 has a frequency of 1 and a percentage of 3.33 and from 91-93, 73-75 and 70-
72 have a frequency of 0 and a percentage of 0.

Table 5 shows the frequency and percent distribution of the thirty (30) respondents
by time schedule.

Table 5 shows the different time schedule that the students feel tired including:
12:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. has a frequency of 13 and a percentage of 43.33. Under the time
of 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. have a frequency of 8 and a
percentage of 26.67. During the time of 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. has a frequency of 1 and a
percentage of 3.33. Throughout the time of 7:00a.m. – 8:00 a.m., 8:00a.m – 9:00 a.m.
and 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. have a frequency of 0 and a percentage of 0.

Table 6 shows the frequency and percent distribution of the thirty (30) respondents
by subjects

Table 6 shows the different subjects that students feel tired including: Science
which has a frequency of 25 and a percentage of 83.33. ESP which has a frequency of 3
and a percentage of 10. Mathematics which has a frequency of 2 and a percentage of
6.67. Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, MAPEH, English, and Elective which have a frequency
of 0 and a percentage of 0.

Table 7 shows the frequency and percent distribution of the thirty (30) respondents
by the causes of feeling tardy towards the subject.

Table 7 shows the possible reasons why students perform inactively during class
and these are: Feeling tired which has a frequency of 13 and a percentage of 43.33. Not
interested in that subject which has a frequency of 9 and a percentage of 30. Lack of
sleep which has a frequency of 8 and a percentage of 26.67. Lastly, teacher’s factor which
has a frequency of 0 and a percentage of 0.
