Gradsko izborno povjerenstvo izravno brine o zakonitoj pripremi i provedbi izbora,

obavlja sve tehničke pripreme, objavljuje kandidacijske liste, određuje biračka

mjesta na svom području, nadzire rad biračkih odbora na biračkim mjestima, nadzire
pravilnost izborne promidžbe, prikuplja i zbraja rezultate glasovanja, obavlja
poslove vezane uz financiranje izborne promidžbe propisane posebnim zakonom i
obvezatnim uputama Državnog izbornog povjerenstva.

The City Electoral Commission directly takes care of the lawful preparation and
implementation of elections, performs all technical preparations, publishes
candidate lists, determines polling stations in its area, monitors the work of
polling station committees, monitors the regularity of election campaigns, collects
and summarizes voting results, performs related affairs with the financing of the
election campaign prescribed by a special law and mandatory instructions of the
State Election Commission.
