ABSTRACT

RELATIONSHIP BREAKFAST WITH CONCENTRATION OF LEARNING


STUDENTS CLASS 4-5 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF ISLAMIC
INTEGRATED AL USWAH 1 BANYUWANGI
IN 2019

Breakfast is important in increasing concentration of learning. Lack of


good and regular breakfast habits can cause students to feel lazy to pay attention to
the teacher, not focused when in class and unable to absorb the delivered subject
matter. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of breakfast
with the concentration of learning in grades 4-5 SDIT AL USWAH Banyuwangi
2019.
This type of research is a Correlation Study. The research design used was
a cross sectional type of research. The sampling technique used is purposive
sampling. The population in the study was 128 respondents with a sample of 97
respondents. Data measurement tools in the form of breakfast questionnaire sheets
and concentration sheets of learning questionnaires with the Spearman rank
correlation test.
The results of the study were obtained from 97 respondents, the number
of respondents had a regular breakfast habit of 97 respondents namely all
respondents (100%) with a good concentration of learning 90 respondents (93%).
After analyzing the data with the Spearman rank test it was found that sig (2-tailed)
= 0,000 <a = 0.05. Thus Ho was rejected Ha, which means that there is a significant
relationship between breakfast relations with the concentration of students learning
SDIT AL USWAH 1 Banyuwangi 2019.
The results of the study can be used to maintain a good concentration of
learning for students, pay attention to students' regular breakfast habits by always
providing breakfast for parents, wake up students early, vary the breakfast menu
every day and instill the importance of breakfast for children.
