second Grade Newsletter Dear Parents, Welcome back! I hope you all had a great Spring Break. Your children were so excited. We are jumping right back into learning and getting prepared for all the new things we will be learning. Mrs, Ayala Here is what we will be learning about this week: Grade Upcoming Events Math In math this week we will be working on regrouping when subtracting. For example, we will be working on ‘word problems, like the one you have below. The bakery has 50 chocolate chip cookies on Saturday. In an hour the bakery had sold 14 cookies. How many cookies do they still have left to sell? We will be using these base ten blocks they represent hundreds, tens, and ones. 28-March: Multicultural night 6-8 p.m. 30-March: Parent Conferences 3-April: Western Day
