Guipos 2019
Mechanics and guidelines

In line with the conduct of the search for “Mr. & Ms. Guipos 2019” as part of the four-day celebration
of the 28th Foundation Day of Guipos NHS on September 12-15, 2019, below are the mechanics and
guidelines for the above mentioned event:

A. Search

1. Only one male and one female candidate will be allowed to join per grade level.
2. Candidates must be a bona fide students of Guipos NHS.
3. Any expenses of the candidates that will be incurred before and during the competition will be
the responsibility of the team represented by the candidates.
4. Contestants will compete on the following categories/ special awards:
 Mr. and Ms. Guipos NHS 2019
 Best in Cocktail Dress for female, Best in Formal attire for male
 Best in Production no. both male and female
 Best in Shorts Wear both male and female
 Best in School Uniform both male and female

Major awards:
Mr. and Ms. Guipos NHS, 1st Runners Up, 2nd Runners Up, 3rd runners up, 4th
runners up, and 5th runners up.

Prizes: trophy, sash and token

Minor awards: Special awards:


Best in cocktail dress/formal attire Mr. and Ms. Photogenic
Best in production no. Mr. and Ms. Netizens’ Choice
Best in shorts wear Mr. and Ms. Congeniality
Best in school uniform Mr. and Ms. Head Turner
Choreographer’s Choice

Prizes: Sash and token

Criteria for Judging: Production no.


50% - mastery
Cocktail dress/formal attire 30% - execution and timing
30%- beauty and appeal 20% - posture
30%- suitability to the wearer
25%- stage presence Shorts wear
15% - audience impact 40% - beauty and appeal
40% - poise and confidence
School uniform wear 20% - audience impact
30%- appropriateness of the
uniform Overall Criteria
50%- projection and delivery 50% - looks (beauty/handsome)
20%-audience impact 50% - raised money (glass
dance)

B. Glass Dance

5. ONLY ten (10) peso coin shall be accepted and be counted; paper bills and other
denomination shall be disregarded.
6. If in case, there is paper bills and other denomination, the said money/cash shall directly be
given to the candidate himself/herself.
7. For the computation of LOOKS, example is given below:

8. For the computation of the RAISED MONEY, below is the example:

10. Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable.


11. Attached herewith are criteria for judging and consolidation sheet to be used during the
contest.
