Submission details
The Assessment Task is due on the date specified by your trainer. Any variations to this arrangement
must be approved in writing by your trainer.
See procedure and task specifications below for details.
You must submit both printed copy and soft copy of your answers in a word document.
Submit the printed copy of required evidences (your answers) to your Trainer with the "Assessment
Cover Sheet" (Filled out and signed appropriately) attached on top of your documents.
Upload the softcopy on the link provide in the eLearning site.
The Trainer/Assessor may further prompt and question in order to receive answers of appropriate
quality or if further clarification required and to validate authenticity of your submitted work.

Assessment Description:
Following on from Assessment Tasks 1 and 2, you will take appropriate follow-up actions to
communication activities. Based on feedback data collected in Assessment Task 2, you will develop a
follow-up communication and prepare an evaluation report with recommendations for continuous
improvement. Finally, you will submit all relevant documents and records of the communication
process in accordance with the simulated business’s recordkeeping policy.

Procedure
Take follow-up actions.
1. Using monitoring and feedback data collected in Assessment Task 2, prepare a follow-up
written communication for your audience or other identified stakeholder. Your written
communication may be for a range of possible follow-up purposes, for example, to:
a. respond to communication deficiencies
b. clarify miscommunications
c. seek further feedback from a range of stakeholders
d. inform a stakeholder of communication activity
e. maintain organisational momentum for change.
2. Using monitoring and feedback data collected in Assessment Task 2, reflection on the
communication process undertaken, and reflection on your leadership performance as a
communicator, prepare a 1–2 page evaluation report for the HR General Manager.
a. Your evaluation report should contain 2–3 clear recommendations for improvement to
the communication process.
b. Your evaluation report should follow relevant business and organisational conventions
for management reporting.
3. Collect a portfolio of communication planning documents, actual communications, feedback
gathering tools, feedback data, and follow-up communications.
Ensure the documents conform to organisational recordkeeping requirements and are
therefore suitable for storage for later retrieval by the communication team, for knowledge
management by the organisation, and organisational learning.
4. Submit your assessment deliverables in accordance with quality specifications outlined below.

Quality
Your assessor will be looking for evidence of your ability to:
● identify actions required as a result of communication, follow up in a timely manner and
record communication activities in accordance with organisational requirements
● demonstrate writing skills by planning and preparing workplace documentation for relevant
stakeholders according to organisational formats
● demonstrate reading skills through analysing and evaluating feedback to inform
communication processes
● get the work done by:

o using analytical processes to identify potential communication problems and prepare


follow-up responses
o systematically gathering and analysing all relevant information and evaluating options
in order to prepare recommendations for improvement of communication processes
● navigate the world of work by adhering to organisational style guide requirements and
policies and procedures for recordkeeping
