INTRODUCTION

Bombay Hemp Company, also known as BOHECO is a privately held, social

enterprise headquartered in Mumbai, India.

BOHECO was founded to research on and promote industrial hemp, the super crop

of our era in India. BOHECO was formally registered under The Companies Act

(1956) on the 19th of January, 2013, with their operations ranging from research,

cultivation, harvesting, processing, manufacturing, trading, wholesaling, retailing,

innovating, advocating, creating a market for and promoting Indian industrial hemp

both across the nation and around the world. They use public-private partnership,

contractual farming and processing, subsidiaries and collaborative research models,

all with an aim to build an industrial hemp ecosystem or industry here.

prey to the fetters of fast fashion. Such an individual prefers a

change in path, a Plan B that helps them take a greener route

where science meets fashion and style meets sustainability. We

lay our considerations upfront in contrast to fast fashion: green

products, stylish and contemporary. 

Our clothing line, B Label, takes a green route. Here, each

garment is made with love, care and one of the strongest

natural fibres on the planet. Hemp repels UV rays, resists mold

and mildew, and is carbon-negative. We promise it’ll last you

years.

Being a product of BOHECO, Hemp Fabric Lab’s core
mission is to educate and encourage brands, designers
and consumers to adopt hemp and banish any myths
surrounding it. We want to create an environment where we
bring together innovators and creators from around the
globe to create amazing things using our fabric.
