WHEN YOU PRAY GOD ANSWERS

Naranasan mo na bang magdasal at parang walang nangyayari?

Until such time, I met a man na talagang napakalakas kay
Lord.
Sharon at Gabby.

Then I politely asked him, “What was your secret to prayer?”

Then he finally asked me, “Do you want to really

And this is what he said, “The reason why you do not receive is because you never ask.”

ASK
Sabi nga di ba, “Ask and you shall receive, Knock and it shall be openend, Seek and you shall find.”
Totoo ‘yon!
We have the tendency to assume that God knows what we want in our life.
Yes, He knows everything because is He is all knowing. But God still want us to exercise our FAITH to ask
and believe.

Perfect instance was when a blind man by the name of Bartimeus approached Jesus because he wanted
to be healed.

Jesus then asked on Mark 10:51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Noong nabasa ko siya. I had
mixed emotions. Mukhang nagkamali yung bulag noong lumapit kay Jesus. Why?
I am sure na alam niya, but I do
believe God still want to ask the blind man to ask in FAITH. Ayaw lang niya ibigay ng basta-basta.

ASK SPECIFICALLY
This is what the blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”
The blind man never said, “Rabbi, I want to be healed.”
The blind man asked specifically from the Lord kung ano ang gusto
niya! The rest is history. Gumaling siya at nakakita muli. So ever since that day, I learned how to pray
more effectively. When I want or need something in my life, “I pray.” When I pray, I pray with clear and
specific things in mind.
ASK IN FAITH

Can FAITH heal you?

When Bartimeus was going through the crowds. He was in faith that only Jesus can heal him. Wala
When he also prayed, he prayed
in FAITH. Kaya siya sinagot.
“Go, your faith has healed you.”
Maniwala ka kapatid that it will happen to you. Weh di nga! Kaya nga faith no!

Faith is something you believe even if you do not see.

Some people say, “To see is to believe.”
But in faith it says, “To believe is to see.”

THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.

How is your prayer life lately? When was the last time you prayed?
If you are praying, is it clear and specific?
When you pray, do you pray in faith or in fear?
What Kind Of Gratitude Do You Have?

From looking at my own life, and in the lives of the people I help, I realized there are three degrees of gratitude:

1. Selective Gratitude

This is when you’re thankful for Big Ticket items only.

You win the Lotto.

You get a new car.

You finally pass the board exam after 9 tries.

Your daughter finally gets married at 52.

Your visa is approved after 16 denials.

Your adulterous and drunk husband finally changes. Or dies. (Whichever comes first.)

Everyone starts with Selective Gratitude.

But sadly, this feeling of gratitude is rare. Because Big Ticket items are rare too.

And usually, it disappears rather quickly.

Selective Gratitude is great.

But if you want to be really happy, you need to graduate to a deeper form of gratitude…

2. Simple Gratitude

In Simple Gratitude, you’re thankful even for the small things in life. For the roof over your head, for the leftover
food on your table, for the semi-neurotic family around you. Stuff you take for granted.

Remember this famous quote? I once was sad for I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet.

One day, my friend complained about his decreasing hair. I told him to think positive: his hair wasn’t decreasing, it
was his forehead that was increasing. He didn’t believe me and became more depressed.

So I texted him this slightly-edited version of the line above: I once was sad for I had no hair until I met a man who
had no head.

I think that sobered him up. If you were to choose between baldness and beheading, what would you choose?

Today, he shines his head and calls himself Bruce Willis.

But do you know that there’s something even more powerful than Simple Gratitude?
3. Sacred Gratitude

In Sacred Gratitude, you’re thankful for life itself.

You’re thankful that you’re alive.

You’re thankful that you exist.

You’re thankful that you breathe!

You’re thankful for the adventure of daily life, with all its ups and downs, highs and lows, and twists and turns.

This kind of gratitude doesn’t depend on situations anymore.

And there’s a big difference between knowing you need to be grateful, and actually having every cell of your body
singing, “Thank You!”

This is Sacred Gratitude.

It’s one of the sweetest things in the world.

Nothing can touch you. You’re at peace.

When you have Simple Gratitude–and especially Sacred Gratitude–you receive so many blessings.

Why?

Because when you become grateful, you also become a Blessing Magnet. (More on this in my next email.)
