English Language and Literature


 Descriptive paragraph (Place/Event/Person) has been added in Section B.
 Question 11 has been replaced with the textbook question.
 Novels have been deleted.
 In Section B, word limit has been changed from 100-120 to 100-150 words.
 In Section C, word limit of long answer questions has been changed from 100-120 to 100-150
words.

 In Section D, value based questions have been deleted.

 Unit 3 Chapter 8: Topics nuclear membrane, chromatin and nucleolus have been deleted.

 Unit 5 Chapter 19: Topic kidney transplant has been added.
 Value based questions have been deleted.
 Question paper design changed. Now there are 27 questions instead of 26 questions.
Chemistry
 Topics ‘Solid states’ and ‘p-block elements’ have been added in Units 5 and 11 respectively.
 Topics ‘Discovery of electrons’, ‘Isotopes and isobars’, ‘Thomson model’ and ‘Rutherford’s
model and their limitations’ have been deleted from Unit 2.
 Topics ‘Significance of classification’ and ‘Brief history of the development of periodic table’
have been deleted from Unit 3.
 Weightage has been changed.

 Novels have been deleted.

Mathematics
 Value based questions have been deleted.

Physics
 Earlier the weightage of chapter 1, 2, 3 and 4 was 23 marks but now it has been changed to 20
marks.
 Earlier the weightage of chapter 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 was 20 marks but now it has been changed
to 16 marks.
 Earlier the weightage of chapter 14 and 15 was 10 marks. Now they have merged as chapter 14.
 A new chapter 15 with name ‘Ray Optics’ has been added with a net weightage of chapter 14
and 15 of 17 marks.
 Now there will be 27 questions in place of 26 questions.
 Value based questions have been replaced with 2 questions of 2 marks evaluation based.

 Physics (Lab Practical)

 In practicals, four new practicals from ray optics replaced the old one.
 In activities, three new activities have been increased related to ray optics.

Class_12

Accountancy
 A new chapter ‘Accounting for Not-for-Profit Organisation’ has been added for 10 marks.
 Weightage for Accounting for Companies has been reduced from 25 marks to 15 marks.
 Topic ‘redemption of debentures by conversion and purchase in the open market’ has been
deleted from Accounting for Companies.
 Value based questions have been deleted.
Biology
 Weightage of Unit 10 has been changed from 14 marks to 17 marks which is incorrect as doing
so increases the total marks to 73.3 marks not reduced elsewhere. Wrong weightage
 Unit 10 Chapter 16: Topics impact and mitigation have been added.
 Value based questions have been deleted.
 Question paper design changed. Now there are 27 questions instead of 26 questions.

Business Studies
 A topic of ‘Demonetisation—Concept and features’ has been added to Unit 3 (Business
Environment).
 Merits and demerits of formal and informal communication have been deleted from Unit 7
(Directing).
 Earlier there were two projects to be done by the students, but now only one project is to be
done by the students.
 Estimated time for questions has been changed.
 A topic ‘Induction training’ of Unit 6 (Staffing) has been deleted from the heading topics but
retained under the heading learning outcomes.
 Value based questions have been deleted.

Chemistry
 Blue print has been changed. Total number of questions will be 27 in place of 26 questions.
 Value based questions have been deleted.

Computer Science (C++) (New)


 100 per cent new syllabus.

 Topic mobile processor has been deleted.

Economics
 No change for this session of 2018-19, but for the session 2019-20, Indian Economic
Development of Class 11 will replace the Introductory Microeconomics of Class 12.

Physical Education
 Topic ‘Aerodynamics principles’ has been deleted from chapter 10.
 Topics ‘self-esteem and body image’ and ‘psychological benefits of exercises’ have been deleted
from Chapter 11.
 Topics ‘exercise adherence, reasons to exercise, benefits of exercise’ and ‘strategies for
enhancing adherence to exercise’ have been added to Chapter 11.
 Topic ‘High altitude training’ has been deleted from Chapter 12.
