TNPSC group 1 can be cracked in 1st attempt and many of my friends cracked in first
attempt. TNPSC Group1 is a three level exams prelims, mains and Interview

1. Prelims is an objective type.

2. Mains is having 3 Paper and the Pattern is Descriptive.
3. Interview — Personality Test and not to test your Aptitude.
Prelims strategy — more importance to below topics

1. Aptitude
2. Current Affairs
(Apart from above, you have to be thorough in Indian national movement, Geography,
polity, little economics — nowadays many questions are from Current affairs for Group1
exam)

Books:

a. History — 11th and 12th standard ( Only Indian History) State Board — Must. Bipin
Chandra and Spectrum are Optional.

b. Geography — 10 th standard Matriculation Book and General Geography Arihant GK

book. coechenleong is optional.

c. Polity — Lakshmikanth Syllabus Topic.

revision.

f. Aptitude — RS Agarwal. Syllabus Topic. Game Changer

g. Current Affairs — Hindu and Any one Journal.

Please use Website and YouTube Videos to understand concept in detail.

Mains Strategy

1. Writing practice.
2. Writing practice
3. more writing practice — The reason for stressing is many aspirants who studies
well were unable to complete the paper. So please do more writing practice.

Note: Please don't read Ancient India book.Read Social Problems in India by
Ram Abuja or Social Issues book from Wizard. Read Intenational relations
from Internet and 11th standard Indian polity book for Administration. NCERT
book for Disaster Management. ( 2019 syllabus is changed)
But the strategy is you should write a lot. your hands will break but you should write and
complete the paper. If you don't complete the paper then you are not in the race. Write a
lot before the exam and come to pace.

My Experience — paper 2 & 3 — completed fully. Paper 1 — didn't write 4* 3 mark

question. So I didn't attend for 12 marks.
