    Snake bites in India are commonly treated using the first aid mnemonic "CARRY NO R.I.G.H.T." which stands for: C- Calm the patient; A- Avoid movement; R- Remove any constricting items like rings or bracelets; R- Reassure the patient; Y- Yawl or tie the bitten limb loosely above the bite; N- Note the time; O- Observe the signs and symptoms; R- Rush to the hospital; I- Immobilize the bitten limb; G- Give nothing by mouth; H- Help is on the way; T- Tell the doctor the type of snake if known.
