Sorry, Can't Answer This One! Lol
Sorry, Can't Answer This One! Lol
One of my duties is to file policy envelopes and pulling out thereof in case the employees on the
claims unit need one. I was also designated to attach tags in a policy envelope. The policy
envelopes, by the way, includes the claims of the members against the GSIS. I was also the
custodian for the records of policy envelopes.
I was also responsible with answering the telephone calls in the Frontline Services Division,
especially when my immediate supervisor is on leave.
2. What new skills and knowledge did you learn while in practicum?
The following are the competencies I gained throughout the course of the practicum:
Being organized in terms of handling the records, and also the duties that were assigned
to me
Genuine camaraderie with the employees and my co-trainees
Having concern for the people that needs my help
Practicing working in groups as in an organization
Respecting the authority in the hierarchy
Patience for when the duties can seem a bit redundant
I developed a sense of communication as it is needed for the whole organization to work
3. Give three different types of skills or knowledge you learned in your previous classes that you were
able to apply during practicum.
4. Describe any problem or concern you experienced while at your practicum site.
One problem I would like to point out is that the work assigned to me is a little repetitive. It affects my
performance sometimes but it is manageable. Other concerns are considered petty and can be
considerable among the circumstances.
I think they could have given me more tasks to better out my own career and academic goals. I could
have reached more areas of the company if I was not limited to my duties.
6. Identify two strengths and two suggestions as to how your supervisor might have further enhanced
your learning experience.
The strengths include my supervisor being warm and approachable. He helped me in my work-related
concerns. Another thing is that he cares for us, the trainees, he’s just not there to give commands but he
also gives attention to our well-being.
As for the suggestions, as stated above on number 5, he can have given me more tasks and duties that
will further out my skills and knowledge of work. I have so much more to offer but I was limited to my
duties. – (Ganyang ganyan yung kay Alec, bawasan mo na lang or dagdagan para magkaiba kayo. Nauna
kong ginawa yung kanya eh, parehas lang naman din yung sasabihin ko. Lol)
