 ii. NARRATIVE REPORTS

In line with the campaign of the National Government in equipping every Barangay with
the knowledge, proper attitude and skills on what to do just in case of a manmade and
natural disaster like earthquake, Barangay PULO participated to the National
Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held last November 14, 2019.

The orientation with the participants and persons assigned in different phases started at
8:30 in the morning headed by Barangay Kagawad Roque L. Cruz, Alfredo A. de Leon,
Ruben A. Lichauco, and Jennielyniza F. Allen. All the needed information and procedures
to be done were clearly stated and demonstrated during the orientation.

The assigned person with the alarm system Ex-O Jimmy Oreta started the drill with the
first alarm. The participants (Barangay officials, employees, Tanod, Bantay Bayan,
residents, 4Ps members) did the duck, cover, and hold position then was followed by
three consecutive alarms of few seconds interval. After the third alarm, the participants
left the building on a duck position and proceeded to the designated evacuation area.

After reaching the evacuation area, head counting followed immediately. With the
assigned responders and prepared equipments, evacuees were checked for possible
injuries, damages or casualties. After the evacuation and response phases, Kagawad
Cruz with the BDRRMC made and discussed their own assessment of the drill. The drill
ended at 9:09 A.M. Total number of evacuees – 88.
