Celebration of National Teachers’ Day

Starting September 5 to October 5 of each year, we celebrate the National Teachers

Month. This year the celebration goes with the theme “Gurong Pilipino: Turo Mo kinabukasan
Ko,” It is an annual activity of the Supreme Students’ Government to prepare and hold a
program in celebration of Teachers’ Day with the supervision of the SSG adviser Mrs. Linda E.
Maligaya.

Different activities were carried out in each week of the month. These activities includes
Poster Making, Slogan Making, Thank You Card Making, and Thank You Letter Writing. Each
activities were joined and enjoyed by the students. They were very eager to show how they
appreciate and how thankful they were to their teachers. Part also of the activity is having a
student teacher for a day. Each teacher chose a students as their representative in their respective
classes.

On October 5, the school celebration of National Teachers Day was held. Through the
joint efforts of the SSG and the PTA Officers a simple yet very memorable program was
dedicated for the teachers, it started at exactly 10:05 in the morning. A prayer for teachers was
offered by a select student. During the program the OIC- Mrs. Lucia H. Enriquez gave a heart
warming message for teachers. There were also students who offered songs and dance numbers
which made the program more exciting and entertaining The last part of the program was giving
awards and certificates for the deserving teachers. Awardees were chosen according to a criteria.
.After the program, teachers were also given the chance to relax by having and participating to
different games.

And as the tradition goes, after the program ad games the teachers were gathered inside a
classroom prepared and decorated by the SSG Officers for a sumptuous meal prepared for the
teachers. After meal unending picture taking took place.
