Parts and its functions

1. Motherboard –also known as the backbone of the


computer. It is the main circuit board of a computer and
it connects all the peripheral devices.
2. Power Supply Unit (PSU) - it supplies power to the
motherboard. Without it the computer will not run.
3. Central Processing Unit (CPU) – it is one of the
component of a system unit which performs basic
operations and it process data.
4. Hard Drive - It is part of a system unit where you able to
store data.
5. System Fan – it cools down the temperature inside the
system unit.
6. CPU Fan and Heat Sink – it reduces the heat and
prevent dust from the CPU.
7. CD/DVD ROM – it is a part of a system unit where
you able to put the CD/DVD.
8. Memory – a chip which information can be stored.
 RAM (Random Access Memory) –the files are
temporarily stored. When you turn off the
computer the files are gone.
 ROM (Read Only Memory) - the files are
permanently stored.
