Dear Ana Bene,

Hello my name is Mariana Doi, I am currently a senior at RE Mountain secondary school. I am

emailing you in regards of a capstone project that we are required to do in one of the mandatory
classes to graduate, called Career Life Connections. I am doing a service oriented capstone,
because I think that it fits very well and goes with my values and beliefs.

Some of the skills that I am very proud of and that will help me in this capstone are as listed. I
think I am very dedicated in anything that I am interested in, and I will put in time and work to
get to the goal that I am interested in. My favourite things to do that I enjoy and would love to
make a future of is, helping people. I think that helping others and getting that “thank you” or just
smile gives me satisfaction. Currently I am going downtown Vancouver and giving out food to
the homeless with my family and it is something that we do very often. The main idea with this
capstone is to go downtown Vancouver or Langley and give out basic resources and necessities
to the people. What I hope to achieve with this project is to get an insight and ask some people
what they think they would need to start and new life and get back on their feet.

I would love it very much if you are able to also give me an insight and some more relevant
information on this topic about homeless as you see it very often because of the field you are in.
