To Whom It May Concern:

Rachel Moses was my student during her 10 week psychiatric/mental health nursing clinical
rotation last semester. As a clinical instructor/lecturer with fifty years experience in various
psych nursing areas, I have a unique opportunity to become acquainted with my students as
individuals. Since they're learning to use their own personalities as a therapeutic tool, I try to
help them get to know themselves more in depth and as members of a team on our four unit
inpatient facility. During our psych rotation, they also experience working with older adults,
pediatric therapy services, and intensive adult outpatient services. My goal for them is to
practice interpersonal relationship skills that can be generalized and applied to any nursing
endeavor they choose.

Rachel Moses - a new grad RN-to-be, who loves nursing, loves her home state (a nice girl from
Gilbert!), and loves being near her family. Yes, she is as wholesome as that sounds. Hopefully,
you will interview Rachel, so you can confirm for yourselves that she has those qualities which
you value in your healthcare organization. An extra added bonus in Rachel's makeup is her
caring nature base on her spiritual beliefs. She genuinely wants to make the world a better
place - one patient at a time!

Now the usual (but true) description of the strengths and attributes that Rachel will bring to your
organization: 1) a broad and in depth nursing knowledge base; 2) highly developed
technical/technology abilities; 3) excellent verbal/written communication skills and finally; 4) an
appreciation of the value of the continued application of evidenced-based nursing practice.

Rachel Moses's daily life revolves around many (what some would call) old-fashioned ideas like
a strong work ethic, perseverance, and altruism. She demonstrated these characteristics during
her psych rotation by being a respected team member who provided moral support to her lab
group's endeavors. Seriously considered making Rachel a member of your team. With her
academic training and clinical experiences, she will jump right in with focus, good time
management skills, and maturity beyond her years.

Sincerely,

Susan Markovich, RN, MSN

Clinical Instructor
