GT INTERNATIONAL
-The "G. T." in G.T. International Tower
stands for George Ty, one of the wealthiest
men in the Philippines, owner of this
building, and the chairman of MetroBank.
MetroBank is the anchor tenant.
-A 10-story vertical fin marks the tower’s
presence on the Makati skyline and
provides a visual signature at the tower’s
crown

-Headquarters of the Ayala Corporation, the
company that built the Makati Central Business
District.
-This building was built solely as a response to
the Philippine Stock Exchange relocating from
Makati City to the Tektite Towers in the Ortigas
Center. AyalaLand was hoping that the
Philippine SEC would reconsider its plan. It
didn't succeed completely with its attempt to
keep the stock exchange exclusively in Makati
City but the building did become one of the
most prestigous office towers in the country.

seized by rebel soldiers demanding the
resignation of President Arroyo. Among
the residents that were held was Ruth
Pearce, the ambassador for Australia.

using fully unitized
curtainwall of glass,
aluminium panel and
granite.
-The tower proper
incorporated into the
system horizontal
sunscreens, vertical fins,
light bullnoses, crown
lighting and balcony
trellises.
-Shallow and deep-set
cladding was used
extensively on the building
envelope.
-The entrance facades
employed mirror stainless
steel shopfronts, capped
with functional sculpted
canopies in hairline finish.
