ABOUT

ITC Maurya1 Hotel is one of the oldest and


most luxurious hotels in New Delhi. This
luxurious property of ITC was established in
the year 1988. The name of the hotel was
named after the great Mauryan Dynasty,
which presented India its golden age where
art, culture and heritage flourished. This
hotel is the choice of international
celebrities, businessmen and sport stars
too. A luxurious five star property under the
ITC group.

History
ITC Limited entered the hotel business on
18 October 1975 with the opening of a hotel
in Chennai, which was renamed Hotel Chola.
ITC Hotels has a reputation of playing host
to visiting royalty and world leaders time
and again.

OVERVIEW
Paying tribute to the great Mauryan
dynasty, ITC Maurya showcases Mauryan
Architecture. The hotel uses a signature
‘East meets West’ style of Mauryan
diplomacy that combines a historic aura
with contemporary facilities to create a
luxury hotel experience.

Fittingly, the 438-room property is situated


in the Capital’s exclusive Enclave in
Chanakyapuri, in close proximity to
President’s Estate. The hotel has long been
the favoured accommodation of heads of
state, royalty and business leaders from
across the world. The various suites are
named after famous personalities from the
Mauryan age that include the Chanakya
Grand Presidential Suite, The Chandragupta
Presidential Suite & many more. While the
interiors of these suites provide a whiff of
the Gupta Empire, the polished marble,
carved teaks, stone, & iron caste structures
define the Mauryan period.

FRONT OFFICE
Front office department is the nerve center of the hotel, and is
responsible for the sale of rooms in a systematic way,
according to the procedures laid down by the management.
Thus, the role of front office is to reserve/register rooms and
provides information to the guest during their stay.

RECEPTION

INTRODUCTION

Reception is that section of the front office department where


the guest comes in direct contact with the hotel. So it is very
important for the reception to present the best impression of

the hotel in front to the guest, as the first impression is the last
impression.

The various facilities served to the guests by the hotel are
babysitting, medical assistance, currency exchange, butler

RESTAURANTS & BAR
The Maurya has a set of 6 restaurants which serves the exotic dishes
from round the globe. Bukhara An authentic Indian restaurant is
famous for its delicacies from the North West frontier. It is a award
winning restaurant. It is listed under the top 50 restaurants in the
world and one of the best eating outlets in Asia. Timings: - 12:30 pm to
2:45 pm and 7 pm to 11:45 pm Dum Pukht The restaurant offers the
pleasure of courtly dinning. The dishes served in the restaurant are
chosen from different parts of India. Timings: - 12:30 pm to 2:45 pm and
7 pm to 11:45 pm Golf Bar The big leather couches & chair make you feel
comfortable with serving you with the international collection of spirits,
whiskeys and cigars under one roof.

INDIAN KITCHEN

The kitchen prepares all kind of Indian preparation and it caters to the coffee
shop buffet and banquet buffet hence it also referred as banquet kitchen. It
takes cares of all kind of kababs and Tandoori items. This kitchen is one of the
busiest kitchen of our hotel and the food provided by the IRD also goes from this
kitchen.

CHINESE KITCHEN

This kitchen mainly caters to the hotels Chinese Restaurant called as


CHINOISERIE. This kitchen is headed by a Chinese master chef . It also caters to
the coffee – shop buffet for all kinds of Chinese preparation in the buffet. We
have difference kitchen for the North Indian Restaurant.

Garde Manager

This is also known as continental cold kitchen. In this kitchen all kinds of salads,
fruits, cold meat platter also prepared. It this kitchen all kinds of salads, fruit
platter, cold-meal platter are prepared. It caters to Banquets, coffee shop. Buffet
and to lounges.

BAKERY AND CONFICTIONERY

This department all the deserts, cakes, bread preparations in this kitchen cater
to coffee shop buffet, banquets and lounges.

CONTINENTAL KITCHEN

It prepares all the non-veg. Roast hems are sent from this kitchen.

It prepares all type of continental food.

BANQUET KITCHEN

The foods prepared here are produced in bulk and it supplies food to the events
that happens in the hotel. It also provides all the Indian desserts to the Coffee
shop during buffet.

BUTCHERY

In this section all the cleaning and with of meats, such as mutton, fish, chicken,
beefs, pork,herms takes place,

Cafeteria kitchen

This kitchen takes care of all the food preparations for the staffs. It serves a
total of 6 meals per i.e. Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Evening Tea, Dinner and
Midnight Snacks.
