Long term plan: Complete the Seven Summits by year 2040

The Seven Summits is considered the premier mountaineering challenge in the world. These are
highest mountains of each of the seven continents. It has become a goal for climbers around
the world and around 416 people have met the goal as of 2016. The seven summits are the
following:

1. Mt. Everest in Nepal


2. Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina
3. Mt. Denali in Alaska
4. Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa
5. Mt. Vinson in Antarctica
6. Mt. Elbrus in Russia
7. Puncak Jaya in Indonesia

Short term plans

1. January 2021 – Get in shape, train for a year before starting “the climb”
 Strength training for 1 to 2 hours every day
 Walk for long distances for 4 hours or more twice a week and increase frequency
after 1 month
 After 3 months, start training in rocky terrain and higher altitudes
 Invest in a lightweight backpack, good trekking shoes, walking poles, thermal
jackets and other important hiking equipment
2. January 2022 – Summit 5 mountains in the Philippines
 Mt. Pulag – January 2022
 Mt. Dulang-Dulang – March 2022
 Mt. Kalatungan – May 2022
 Mt. Kitanglad – July 2022
 Mt. Apo – October 2022
3. August 2023 – Puncak Jaya in Indonesia
4. August 2024 – Mt. Elbrus in Russia
5. August 2025 – Mt. Vinson in Antarctica
6. August 2026 – Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania
8. August 2027 - Mt. Denali in Alaska
9. August 2028 - Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina
7. August 2030 – Train for Mt. Everest ascend
8. June 1, 2040 – Begin expedition for Mt. Everest
9. August 24, 2040 – Reach the summit of Mt. Everest and finish all Seven Summits
