Study Plan for Post-Graduate Study

Academic Background & Personality:

I am Muhammad Irfan from Shorkot, a small town situated in the Jhang district of the Punjab
province of Pakistan. I am doing my Bachelor degree in BS Physics from the well-known
Institution, University of Education Lahore, Faisalabad (campus). It will be completed in July,
2019 with expected CGPA 3.70 out of 4.00. I was very active and responsible person throughout
my educational career. I joined the institution by passing the university entrance test with
distinction and was placed in the first merit list. During my university life, I was regular
participator of the presentations, seminars, workshops and other such events held in the institution
that showed me the real face of the different people around the world who are showcasing their
talent to attain success in different fields of life. I also make habit of being competitive and strong
as I got good positions in the class level exams as well as the mid-term and final term exams. I
was very punctual in submitting the assignments to the Instructors as they also admired that fact.
I did my final year project and thesis “Bone Equivalence of Different Material for 6MV and
10MV Photon Beam” in the supervision of Ms. Ambreen Aslam. It was very useful in the
treatment of cancer using radiation. It was well appreciated not only by our professors but also
by the seniors.
By personality, I am very active person and hate dullness and laziness. I am socially very much
touched with all my friends and family. I use different mediums of social media on regular basis
to get connected with my friends circle. I always appreciate the sincere work and efforts of the
people irrespective of their caste, religion and nationality. I love meeting the people from
different backgrounds as they can teach us what is happening globally. I am a team member and
love contributing my part in team project. I respect the decisions of my seniors and elders. I am
totally convinced that I can adjust in any kind of tough circumstances and challenges. I strongly
believe that challenges make an individual strong and competitive and they motivate us to tackle
all the difficult situations easily. Therefore, I always keep myself motivated and ready to take
any challenge in the world.
Study Plan in China:
I am planning to do MS Physics from a reputable institution of China on scholarship. I am very
interested in researching vast fields of Optical physics. But as a student I would love to research
on Geometrical optics, Physical optics and Quantum optics,
These areas are very interesting for me and I want to pursue my studies in researching them and
want to make a career in one of these fields. As I want to research and work on Optical Physics,
the first option came in mind is to study in China. China is rising consistently on the globe in
Optical physics, so it is becoming the ideal place to study in china and to share the knowledge and
wisdom with people across the world. In this era of robots and supercomputers, if you are lacking
in expertise in this field, you are not only putting yourself back but you are also putting your
country’s growth and economy backwards. Therefore, I think my bachelor degree’s experience is
not enough to tackle the latest needs of time and I have to do more research and hard work to be
competitive and well-equipped to handle the needs of time. This industry in my country, Pakistan
is still in initiation stage and it needs lot of struggle, determination and practical professionals to
flourish. On private level, people are working only on commercial projects and a very few are
involved in research projects. And on the Government level, this industry is just starting to
propagate.
Therefore I want to complete my post-graduation and want to contribute in my country’s
progress. In the field of Optical physics, Pakistan is on back-foot and I want my country to go
forward.
When we think about getting higher education from China, the first thing that comes in mind is
the brotherly relation of two nations Pakistan and China. Pakistan and China are iron brothers and
trustworthy strategic partners. The friendly diplomatic relations are now completing almost 68
years of trust and love. People of both nations respect and help each other under all different
circumstances and on every forum of the world. These relations got stronger when the Honorable
President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping visited Pakistan in April 2015. In that particular
visit, he announced 46 billion dollars investment in various projects in Pakistan which named
CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor). Experts are saying CPEC will change the fate of the
region and will strong the economy of Pakistan. After elaborating Chinese culture and values
through internet and newspapers, and contacting people from Pakistan studying in China through
social media, I am pretty much convinced that China should be my first priority for higher studies.
As a result of trustful bilateral relations between China and Pakistan, my family and my teachers
have given me full support and appreciated my idea of studying in China. Keeping all these things
in mind, I am mentally prepared to become the student of your prestigious university.
With high expectations, I am strongly hopeful that you will pay special attention to my application
and give me the green signal to admission in MS Physics. That will be a career booster for me. I
am strongly looking forward to your positive reply. With best regards,

Muhammad Irfan
