Setting Paragraph Alignment and Line Spacing

ALIGNMENT

This paragraph is left aligned. All lines of the paragraph are aligned at the left margin. Notice
that the lines in this paragraph are uneven on the right. The left paragraph button is selected
(depressed on the toolbar).

This paragraph is center aligned. All lines of the paragraph are centered between the margin
markers (at 0 and 6). The center paragraph alignment button is selected (depressed) on the
toolbar.

This paragraph is right aligned. All lines of the paragraph are aligned at the right margin. The
right paragraph alignment button is selected (depressed) on the toolbar.

This paragraph is justified. Except for the last line, all lines of the paragraph run to the edge of
the right margin. There is no justified paragraph alignment button on the toolbar (use the
Paragraph dialog box to select this alignment).

LINE SPACING

In Works, there are a number of spacing options for paragraphs. Double click on the Between
Lines text box and enter your choice by typing a number (you do not have to type li following
the number). This paragraph is single spaced, the default or Auto setting for Works.
