Cycle start switches
There are two push switches provided on the front side of the machine on left and right side extreme ends. When Operator presses both the
switches with his left and right hand both, an automatic marking is initiated, The pneumatic shutter closes and marking starts on the object
placed on the work station.
This operation is interrupted if somebody tries to put hand in the shutter path cutting the light curtain. Shutter goes up again and awaits the
new cycle start to be initiated.

Red Light Indicator on Mast Light: This light indicator is on whenever machine starts marking on the objects. Two
outputs from the CSC-USB namely O/P 1 and O/P 2 are used. 5 Volts relay module mounted on CSC-USB card is
used and are driven with Op1 and OP2
O/P 2 is used to turn on Red mast light, indicates that marking Process is on.
A 5 Volts two relay board is used to provide potential free contacts to 24 Volts circuits.

Start and Stop Marking
1. CSC-USB card needs connections 1 and 3 to be shorted briefly to Start Marking cycle on the
object.
2. CSC-USB card needs connections 1 and 5 to be shorted briefly to initiate Stop Marking cycle on
the object.
Start Marking signal is required from PLC after X,Y and Z axis positioning is complete.
There is a 4 channel relay module on the electrical panel. RL10 on the same is used to generate start
marking signal for PLC. This relays NO contact is used for satisfying condition given in 1 above.
Stop Marking signal is required in case user wants to stop/cancel marking process. There is an Octal
Relay module on electrical panel. The relay 8 is a spare relay. that is used to stop marking. A
command button on HMI panel initiates this process. The potential free NO contact of this relay shorts
momentarily signals as described in Condition 2 above.
There is
* This 5 Volts relay Board is used by PLC to bring the servo motor to Home Position
Condition – If Servo drive table 0, is detected by PLC and if It is not positioned at home position the
PLC turns on Relay 6 on Octal relay board, that turns on 5 volts supply to the oscillator, therby servo
motor rotates. Whenever the servo home sensor signal changes , the PLC switches off relay 6 and
thereby oscillator power is removed. The pwm oscillator is connected to servo drive pulse input wires
in Parallel with the servo pulse signals for Rotary on CSC-USB board i.e J20 pin 19 and J20 pin 20
respectively.
This relay board is used to provide X,Y and Z limit switch detections for Home and end limit of
individual axis. PLC expects + 24 Volts on its input to detect Home or end limit switch, But CSC-USB
card does not support +24 Volts operation.
We designate pair of relays to each axis end position. Through the limit switch NC contact and
common point +24 Volts reaches to these relay coils and other contacts of these two relays are at 0
Volts, turning them on always. Whenever Home or end limit is reached the corresponding relay
switches off. This condition is sensed on PLC input for its operation.
For CSC-USB Operation above relays NC contacts are used where when limit reached turns off the
relay CSC-USB input gets +5Volts through these NC contacts common point.
