RIZAL TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

PART I COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY

BONI AVENUE, MANDALUYONG CITY

PROJECT ANALYSIS

Pampanga (Kapampangan:

Lalauígan ning Pampángga; Tagalog:

Lalawigan ng Pampanga) is a

province in the Central Luzon region

of the Philippines. Lying on the northern

shore of Manila Bay, Pampanga is bordered

by Tarlac to the north, Nueva Ecija to the

northeast, Bulacan to the east, the Manila Bay to the central-south, Bataan to the southwest and Zambales to the west. Its capital is the City of San Fernando. Angeles

City, while geographically within Pampanga, is classified

as a first-class, highly urbanized city and is

governed independently of the province. Pampanga’s main

industries are farming and livestock and they are famous

for their poultry and pork

products.
I have chosen meat packing industry/meat processing plant as my proposal to take advantage of their popularity in processed meat products. Pampanga is famous

for their chicken and pork tocino, beef tapa, hotdogs, longganiza, and chorizos.

Pampanga being a farming and livestock-centered industry makes it easier to construct a meat processing plant. All the necessary means needed to operate a meat

processing plant are present in the area making it a better choice than other types of manufacturing business.

Supporting documents included in this proposal justifies my desired proposal for the chosen site.
DESIGN CONCEPT
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS

GREEN ARCHITECTURE ACCESSIBILITY

To achieve sustainability green architecture must be applied Correct placement and standard dimensions of doors and
in the design. Green architecture makes the building eco-friendly furniture are applied to make sure the manufacturing plant is
and beneficial to its environment. Example are solar panels. accessible by big carts used in delivery and small delivery trucks.
Person with disabilities facilities are also applied in the design in
case there is a pwd visitor

CIRCULATION
DAYLIGHTING
Daylighting is a way to achieve energy efficiency. It is Effective planning of spaces which can positively affect the
implemented in the design especially to wide areas inside a building flow of movement of people. related spaces are adjacent to each
to conserve electricity during the day. other making traversing easier and less hassle.

SAFET ORIENTATION
Y
Fire exits are implemented in the building to maximize safety Location and orientation of building are strategically
of people working inside the manufacturing plant. There are also arranged according to the given site in order to make a pleasing
checkpoints to make sure the manufacturing plant is safe and environment. sun path, wind direction, and noise origin are greatly
secured. considered.
PART II

SITE ANALYSIS
This part includes the drawn analysis of the site which contains the noise source, sun path, true north location, north-east monsoon, and south-west monsoon. A
site description is also provided.
This part also includes zoning classification, garbage disposal site, environmental impact, socio-economic impact, soil type and, hydrography which is important to
justify if the proposal is applicable to the chosen site.
SITE DESCRIPTION

Site is under Agri-industrial zone There are two entrances in the site which is located at the North and South-West part of

the site

The total area of the site is approximately 39,325 sqm / 3.9325 hectares The main entrance is located at the North part of the site

Site is located in Zone 7 Dila-dila, Sta. Rita, Pampanga The site has an irregular shape lot

The site has a maximum elevation of 130ft above sea level There are no existing bodies of water in the area

The site has a minimum elevation of 119ft above sea level North-East is bounded by Provincial Road

It has an average slope of 1.4% South-East is bounded by (LOT 4697; 2344-C) by road

There are no existing buildings in the site South-West is bounded by ESTERO PIAS

There are variety of trees present in the area North-West is bounded by (LOT 4695; 2344-D) 01,05,06

ZONING CLASSIFICATION

In order to propose a meat processing plant, the chosen site must be a declared Industrial Zone by the municipality. The picture shows the Comprehensive Land
Use Plan of the Sta. Rita municipality and the location of the proposed meat processing plant.

SITE LOCATION
WASTE MANAGEMENT

Garbage disposal is one factor to be considered before choosing a project site. Chosen site is located near an MRF and the main garbage disposal which is located in

Clark, Pampanga is just an hour away.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

We all know developing a site requires the inevitable destruction or modification of environment around the chosen site. Construction requires excavating the land

which can cause the removal of trees and vegetation present in the area.
Fortunately, the chosen site only possesses few trees located at the rear of the site all damages would only be inflicted to grasses in the site.
SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACT

Since Santa Rita, Pampanga is a Farming and livestock-centered industry construction of meat processing will be beneficial to both the company and the people of

Santa Rita, Pampanga.

Manufacturing is an important part of the government because it creates high-paying jobs, drives technological innovation, and generates more economic activity

than any other sector. If the government supports the development of the proposed manufacturing plant, they will both share the risk and the economic growth that will

take effect depending on the success of the manufacturing plant

Construction of Meat Processing Plant in the area will open the opportunity for the local people to get a decent job. Local raisers of livestock can be a potential

suppliers of meat and importation will be avoided to help the locals grow. This will not only help the people of the area but also the municipal as a whole in projecting

economic growth.

Guagua, Pampanga.
