Title of the Journal : How to ensure pupils memorize the rules in grammar
1. Problems
I found out the pupils hardly could memorize the rules in grammar. They tend to forget very
fast. Some of the pupils did not understand how to apply it when writing sentences. Pupils
also did not pay attention when I explain the rules.
2. Analysis
The problem that I just stated happen because the pupils have poor basic grammar. In
addition, the pupils were bored when I used traditional method. I used ‘chalk and board’
approach. It makes the pupils feel demotivated to learn English. Moreover, the pupils have
short attention span.
3. Suggestion to improve
I would like to use learning and teaching tools in 21st century which is Jazz Chant. This will
help to memorize the rules because Jazz Chant contains repetitions words. Furthermore, Jazz
Chant is fun and cathchy. The pupils will have fun while learning grammar.
