 REGISTRATION

Last November 29, 2017, the Philippine Women’s University participated the annual 7th IT Skills
Olympic at the University of Makati. The program to be started in registration of the participants
together with respective coaches (Mr. Roy Benedicto, Mr. Hiroshi Kenneth Sawada, and Jayson
Virtucio) in different category. The contest composed of the following with PWU students: IT quiz
bee (Elmer Escorpiso and Christian Nocum), Java Programming (Jino Roxas and James Bryan
Pablo), Networking (Mark Jayson Denden), Computer Assembly and Disassembly(Jonathan
Revilleza), Web Design (Francis Tocal and Lemeuel Espiritu) Android Application Development(
Calix Romero and Angelica Espejo), .Net C# Programming (Kenneth Montealto and Mark Gacos).
 OPENING PROGRAM

After the registration, the PWU-Calamba participants proceed at University of Makati

theater to attend the opening program. The dean of the University of Makati gave some welcome
remarks to all participants. The message was center the importance of contest which is to
enhance the knowledge of IT students in their skills. After the guest speaker gave an inspirational
message, the participants went to their respective room to start the IT skills Olympic.
 PC ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY

Jonathan Revilleza together with his coach Mr. Hiroshi Kenneth Sawada were at 6M floor
building 3. Mr. Revilleza was the Computer Assembly and Disassembly participant. The
contestant in this category is made of multiple hardware components of computer hardware.
The contestant in this category must disassemble and assemble the component efficiently and
accurately.
 NETWORKING

The picture was taken at the Building 3 of University of Makati where the Networking
category was happened. The category was participated by Mark Jayson Denden. The contestant
in this category must establish a functional network between two computers.
 I.T. QUIZ BEE

The IT quiz held at the University of Makati theater where Elmer Escorpiso together with his
team mate Christian Nocum were compete the said competition. The question of IT quiz bee
came from different subject in IT. The contest tested the knowledge of contestants in ICT
concepts and terminologies
 ANDROID APPS DEVELOPMENT

The pictures above are the PWU students who were compete for the Android Apps
Development with their three judges. The said contest was participated by Calix Romero and
Angelico Espejo. The contestant in category developed an android application and to be
presented to three judges to criticize their application.
 WEB DESIGN

The pictures were taken inside at the 11th floor of Building 1. Francis Tocal and Lemeuel
Espiritu was participated in Web Design category. Web design competition is an event designed
to challenge the HTML and CSS skills of participants. They give three hours to finish the layout
design.
 JAVA PROGRAMMING

Jino Roxas and Ryan Pablo compete in Java programming contest. The contestant in this
category must create and successfully implement a java program based on machine problem
specification.
 .NET PROGRAMMING C#

.NET C# programming was the contest participated by Kenneth Montealto and Mark
Gacos. The contestant in this category must create and successfully implement a C# program
based on machine problem specifications.
 AWARDING OF CERTIFICATES

The last part of the contest is awarding of winners and certificates. The organizer thanked
PWU participants and coaches for their participating in event.
