I believe that I am a person who always strives to be best and always ready to explore new
ventures in any domain be it a professional life and regular one. In B-tech, I was the festival
coordinator of Nimble (Intra Institute Technical festival) and department coordinator of
student placement cell IIT Jodhpur.
After joining SJMSOM, I was the part of Avenues’19 and a member of SOM TT team, In Avenues’19 I
was volunteer for creative team, where my job is to create posters and standees for Facebook posts
and decoration, prior to the part of creative team I have zero knowledge in creatives and photoshop.
So, Avenues was a wonderful learning opportunity for me as I have learned various software like
adobe illustrator, Canva, adobe 3D paints and also gave me a platform to learn different creative
ideas through one on one sessions with seniors and peers. This experience has given me the
confidence that I will be able to adapt myself to any situations and develop capabilities to work
under pressure.

I strongly believe that my administrative, people management skills, creative skills and my
dedication to work under pressure makes me a strong candidate for this postion. I will continue to
show the dedication I have shown during my time in SJMSOM and will uphold the dignity of the
position

Mention a minimum of 3 new initiatives/changes/activities

1. Mapping students with Alum: I think, currently we are lacking in connecting with alum, as we
know alums are the pillars of B-schools. As we know an MBA student face challenges and
problems in his journey and I think, connecting them with Alum is one way to solve their
problems and they can help them by giving them a pathway which will be helpful to gain
most out of his MBA journey
2. case study competition; the case will be consisting real-life scenarios from the
quirkiest of place. For that case, the team formation will be a mix of present SOM
students, and recent alums who were graduated after 2014 and the judge will be
experienced alum from that domain.
3. Website: One think which I feel is utmost important, website. This website contains the
database of alums, It will be helpful for the students or other alum to connect with each
other, since we are restricted by placecom to not connect the alum directly, through this
website if a student wants to connect with the alum, he/she can send direct request to
alumni team and alumni team will help them to connect with the Alum, this process will
create transparency in the system also it will give opportunity to students to get in touch
with alums.

Which activities have u been a part of since u joined SOM and what has been your contribution

Corporate Competitions: I have taken part in many corporate competitions, out of which I
have cleared the first round of Colgate Palmolive case challenge and PepsiCo Dare to do more
challenge and represented some in the 2nd round while competing with other B-Schools.
Spike: Being a sports enthusiast. I have participated in various activities, I was the part of
biathlon event organized by IITB on 15th august, and also, I am a Team member of SOM TT
table tennis I have represented SOM at Nitie, Prithvi and PG-GC. This year we won the bronze
medal in PG-GC TT as well.
Avenues: Volunteer, Creative team, as a volunteer I have assigned tasked to design posters,
standees, backdrop and Facebook frames for Avenues, in my work I have designed in total 8
posters, 3 standees, and 3 Facebook frames.

Being a sports enthusiast, I have participated in several trekking and marathon events, apart from I
am proficient in playing badminton and TT, In SOM I won bronze medal in PG-GC TT tournament

After joining SJMSOM, I was the part of Avenues’19 and a member of SOM TT team, In Avenues’19 I
was volunteer for creative team, prior to that I have zero knowledge in creatives and photoshop.
Through this I have learned various software like adobe illustrator, Canva, adobe 3D paints. This
experience bolstered my confidence to adapt myself to any situations and to develop capabilities to
work under pressure.

I strongly all these experiences and skills makes me a strong candidate for this position.

Vision for Spike 21(Max 3)

Increase the footfall of Prithvi to 1000+ by scheduling and informing colleges in advance and getting
media coverage through YouTube and Facebook

To promote a sporting culture in SOM students by collaborating them with IITB sports council.

Spreading fitness awareness among students by conducting fitness drive where students will get
regular sessions on physical and mental fitness.

Opera

Operations have been part of my career trajectory since the start. Working on KANBAN systems at
Tata Motors and developing Forecasting Models during B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
strengthened my interest in Operations. This got further bolstered while working in Coal India,
leading initiatives on Inventory and Maintenance Management. Experience till date had invoked in
me the desire to know Supply Chain holistically to bring in more strategic value as a Supply Chain
enthusiast.
Being an operation enthusiast, I think opera club as an excellent way to be a part of a team that is
involved not only learn supply chain and operations in-depth, but also helpful to deliver my
knowledge and experience to future students, which empowering me to move towards my long-
term goals.

What are your plans for opera 21 (2 new ideas) (Total 200 words)?

Plans:

1. Industry Visit: As we know SJMSOM is famous for its operations domain among other B
schools. In our Interview preparation, we are highly focused on preparing operations along
with the other domain. Since most of the students are from non-operations background. So,
one of the problems I feel is, students are lacking in practical knowledge and as we know an
excellent practical knowledge in ops will quickly help to relate concept with experience. For
that I am planning to conduct 1-2 industrial visits in collaboration with faculty and placecom
during induction week.
2. Case Based GD Sessions: This year one of the problem I found was that the students have
good theoretical in operations but they are lacking to apply them in case discussion and GD,
for that I will schedule separate sessions on case where a frame work and technique will be
deliver to students on how to solve ops based cases, parallelly I will divide the whole batch
into 10 groups and each group will be mentor by 1 senior who has good background in
operations so that each one will get proper mentoring. This initiative will help them to crack
ops GD in interviews.

personality holistically and vis-a-vis helped me in shaping my career forward as I desired to
be.
In coal India, I was given the responsibility of handling the Parts Inventory of 49 Caterpillar dumpers
(100/85 Tn).

Apart from these I have a considerable experience in supply chain management when I was
in coal India, I have realized the real-world problems in business are complex and diverse,
and skills in operations and supply chain would not suffice to tackle those challenges. As I
have no prior experience in consulting, That why to develop myself holistically I am looking
forward to join the consig club because it will help me to develop techniques and methods
to deal with industry cases through a practical and sound approach which eventually
justifies my further role in professional life

coordinator of Nimble (Intra Institute Technical festival) where we worked to get the
sponsorship of around 40 k for the prizes from the various local firms. Also, for event
promotion, we have created some sample videos to ensure more participation in the
events. These experiences helped me in developing my personality holistically and vis-a-vis
helped me in shaping my career forward as I desired to be.
Apart from these, I have a considerable experience in supply chain management, when I was
in coal India, I have realized that every manager should know the marketing because
marketing is not only advertising, but also research, sales, and branding. Marketing acts as a
bridge between manager and audience, the client as well as to the company. So, to inculcate
this skill, I am looking forward to join the marktrix club.

coordinator of Intra Institute technical festival, I initiated guest lecture series where I invited
guests from reputed industries. Also, as department head of placecom cell IITJ, I acquired
Interpersonal skill through coordinating placement process and handling professionals. Being
a learner, I want to join alankar to enrich my experience in handling professionals not only
from management but also leaders from other fields as well.

What has been your contribution to SOM, since your arrival here
As a part of SOM, IIT Bombay
I have been part of several initiatives which was taken by the student body, IIT Bombay. I was
the part of biathlon event organized on 15th August to support the fit India movement as well
as the part of Versova beach cleanliness drive organized on 2nd October in support to spread
awareness of Swachh Bharath Abhiyan among society. Apart from that, I have cleared the
first round of Colgate Palmolive case challenge and represented SOM in the 2nd round while
competing with other B schools. Currently I am working in a creative team as volunteer, under
which I have designed posters for various cultural and management events, for Avenues
2019(Annual B school fest of IIT Bombay)

How do you plan to add value to Business Conclave 2019?

We can organize case study competition; the case will be consisting real-life scenarios from
the quirkiest of place. For that case, the team formation will be a mix of present SOM
students, and recent alums who were graduated after 2015 and the judge will be
experienced alum from that domain. This event will give exposure to SOM students to
interact with alums which eventually help them to build relationship in long term. Apart
from that we can organise panel discussion on real life problems like economic slowdown,
NPA crisis etc among alums from different domains and try to bring it live on national news
channel.
