The proposed MHA-Global degree program between the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and ICRI has been terminated. While no students had been admitted yet, MUSC wanted to directly inform ICRI students of the cancellation due to issues with regulations, policies, finances, academics, and accreditation that made continuing the program impossible. However, the existing MSCR program between MUSC and ICRI is unaffected. ICRI expects to finalize a partnership with another university within a month so current students can complete an internationally awarded degree.

Dear
ICRI
Student:
We
are
writing
to
directly
inform
you
that
the
proposed
MHA-‐Global
degree
program
to
be
offered
by
the
Medical
University
of
South
Carolina
(MUSC)
in
collaboration
with
ICRI
has
been
terminated.
While
the
application
process
to
MUSC
has
not
begun
and
no
ICRI
students
have
yet
been
admitted
to
MUSC,
we
nonetheless
wanted
to
inform
you
directly
to
avoid
any
misunderstanding.
The
decision
to
terminate
the
program
is
due
to
many
issues
arising
from
governmental
regulations
and
policies
as
well
as
financial,
academic,
and
accreditation
matters.
Both
parties
worked
in
good
faith
and
no
one
person
or
organization
is
to
blame.
These
issues
are
very
complex
and
ultimately
made
continuing
with
this
effort
impossible.
Even
though
you
are
not
currently
a
MUSC
student,
we
wanted
to
be
sure
that
you
are
notified
by
MUSC
directly.
MUSC
is
aware
that
ICRI
expects
to
finalize
a
partnership
with
another
university
within
the
month
so
ICRI
students
currently
in
their
MHA-‐Foundation
year
can
complete
an
internationally
awarded
degree.
The
Medical
University
of
South
Carolina
currently
offers
another
degree
program
with
ICRI–
the
Master
of
Science
in
Clinical
Research
(MSCR).
This
program
is
not
affected
by
the
termination.
Recruitment
will
continue
for
the
MSCR
program.
We
know
many
of
you
expected
to
apply
to
MUSC
and
had
the
hope
of
being
accepted
and
pursuing
a
MHA
degree
from
our
university.
As
that
cannot
be
the
case,
ICRI
retains
all
bank
drafts.
We
urge
you
to
contact
ICRI
personnel
to
identify
an
alternative
path
of
study.
Calls
or
e-‐mails
to
our
office
will
be
referred
to
ICRI.
