Our group has noticed that during the previous days, an inclined amount of Dengue
Victims are observed in the Philippines. This caused the people to panic. As an educate
of health safety our group has decided to create a video about dengue awareness which
will open the eyes of common people about this dilemma.
Dengue is a viral disease mainly spread by female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. It is
known to be the world’s most common arboviral disease, with the transmission in at least
128 countries and nearly 4 billion at risk people. According to World Health Organization,
the recent national survey data indicates the prevalence of dengue among population is
still on rise. Environmental changes and lack of awareness result in increase in
transmission of dengue infection and rise in dengue outbreaks. So, World Health
Organization recommends the best way to prevent dengue endemic is to provide
knowledge about dengue and preventive measures to people.

We will be using sites such as Jimdo, Google Sites and Weebly in making website
to promote our dengue awareness campaign. It is convenient for putting videos, text and
photo so that it will easily spread to the internet and people. Jimdo is good for wonderful
websites to easily caught the attention of the viewers. Weebly is good for uploading videos
and pictures. We will upload our dengue awareness video here to reach people easily
since this website is widely used by the citizens.

When the Rainy season comes it is also where the dengue virus spreads or the
time of dengue outbreaks. Philippines is one of the country experiencing large number of
dengue cases, Even if our government already provides several seminars and
advertisement to prevent dengue. Seems like people already forgotten it. So, our
objective is to help people remember their past knowledge from the causes, symptoms,
cure and prevention of the dengue virus. We will also give new and updated information
about dengue that will help them to be aware of it. Over all Our main objective is to reduce
the fatality rate due to dengue by giving people awareness because we believe that
prevention is better than cure and best way for prevention is awareness. At the end of
this campaign our group has high hopes that victims of dengue will lessen in a certain
amount of time.
