POLITICAL ORGANIZATION

The Inca was the ruler of the entire empire, had an authoritarian figure and his position
was decisively hereditary. This fulfilled a divine function for the people. The authority and
decision-making of civilization is divided as follows:
Inca: Supreme monarch, was considered a being with divine powers. He controlled all the
decisions of the people.

Auqui: He was the heir to the throne, he was chosen among the children of the Inca
according to different personal tests to take his place.
Imperial Council: It was a department that advised the monarch.

Apunchic: They were the regional governors, they would respond to the Inca.

Tucuyrícuy: They were the supervisors of government officials.

Curaca: They were the heads of the communities and states of civilization. They
responded to the Inca.
