The LTE Broadcast Opportunity
• LTE: Hundreds of confirmed network roll outs and connected
devices
– More than 250 commercial LTE networks rolled out by end of 2013
– More than 150 million LTE devices by end of 2013
– The following operators have alreay announced the launch of eMBMS
for 2014-2015: Verizon, AT&T, Kt, Reliance
– As a natural extension for LTE, LTE Broadcast will be supported by a
majority of networks and devices
• A committed ecosystem
– On the server side: Samsung, Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson and Huawei
have announced the support of LTE Broadcast solutions
– On the terminal side: Qualcomm, Huawei, Sequans, Altair have
announced the support of LTE Broadcast in their LTE Modems

NFL app will be the first LTE Broadcast Service in the world:
• Verizon has the rights for the content, which supports their role as a major sports sponsor
• VZW has a content deal with NFL; for four years starting 2014
• Operators have built partnerships with several publishing houses and radio networks
• According to the studies LTE Broadcast will add value to these following services:
• Live TV – to increase the quality of the service
• Sport Events – to make sure that the network matches the audience demand
• eMagazines delivery – to deliver highly responsive user experience
• Radio – to replace FM radio and to add extra pay services
