A) ONE SAMPLE TEST HYPOTHESIS
SITUATION
We want to test that accidents increase at the average age of 24.

STATE HYPOTHESIS
Null Hypothesis: average age is not 24

Alternative Hypothesis: average age is 24

T-STATISTICS:

One-Sample Statistics

N Mean Std. Deviation Std. Error Mean

Age category 6 2.00 .894 .365

One-Sample Test

Test Value = 24

t df Sig. (2-tailed) Mean Difference 95% Confidence Interval of the

Difference

Lower Upper

Age category -60.249 5 .000 -22.000 -22.94 -21.06

CONCLUSION:
Reject Null Hypothesis because;

1. The upper and lower value of confidence interval signs are same.
2. P-value is 0.000 that is than 0.05
3. T-statistic is 60.249 which is greater than 2

Its concluded that accidents increase at the average age of 24.

B) ONE SAMPLE TEST HYPOTHESIS
SITUATION
We want to find out that advertisement increased the average sales by 12.27

STATE HYPOTHESIS
Null Hypothesis: average sales is not greater than 12.27

Alternative Hypothesis: average sales is more than 12.27

T-STATISTIC:

One-Sample Statistics

N Mean Std. Deviation Std. Error Mean

Advertising spending 24 3.7197 1.53898 .31414

One-Sample Test

Test Value = 12.27

t df Sig. (2-tailed) Mean Difference 95% Confidence Interval of the

Difference

Lower Upper

Advertising spending -27.218 23 .000 -8.55027 -9.2001 -7.9004

CONCLUSION:
Reject Null Hypothesis because:

1) The signs of upper and the lower value of confidence interval are same.

2) P-Value is 0.000 that is less than 0.05.

3)T-Statistic is 27.218 that is greater than 2.

Its concluded that advertisement increased the average sales by 12.27.

C) ONE SAMPLE TEST HYPOTHESIS
SITUATION
We want to test that if average income Is less than 249 thousand it increases the debts.

STATE HYPOTHESIS
Null Hypothesis: average income Is not less than 249 thousand

Alternative Hypothesis: average income Is less than 249 thousand

T-STATISTICS:

One-Sample Statistics

N Mean Std. Deviation Std. Error Mean

Household income in
850 46.6753 38.54305 1.32202
thousands

One-Sample Test

Test Value = 249

t df Sig. (2-tailed) Mean Difference 95% Confidence Interval of the

Difference

Lower Upper
Household income in
-153.043 849 .000 -202.32471 -204.9195 -199.7299
thousands

CONCLUSION:
Reject Null Hypothesis because;

1. The upper and lower value of confidence interval signs are same.
2. P-value is 0.000 is less than 0.05
3. T-statistic is 153.043 which is greater than 2

Its concluded that if average income Is less than 249 thousand it increases the debts.
