Safety Officer is responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and
developing measure to assure personnel safety. The safety officer will correct unsafe acts or conditions
through the regular line of authority, although the Safety Officer may exercise emergency authority to
prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Daily plant Inspections.
2. Process safety equipment checking
3. Following effluent Detoxification.
4. Follow equipment checklist
5. Monitoring of occupational Hygiene
6. Ensuring the Fire Extinguisher maintenance and personal safety equipment; such as Body
wash, eye wash etc.
7. Daily inspection of the ambulance and ambulance check list
8. Daily inspection of the Fire Hydrant system and Fire Hydrant Checklist
9. Daily inspection of the Fire tender and Fire tender Checklist
10. Tool box training in Production blocks
11. Eye wash bottle water changing and labeling
12. Co-ordinate with all the Departments
13. Performing any other assignment delegated from HOD.
14. Reporting to Asst. Manager/designee.
15. Identify the unsafe acts/ conditions / behaviors at all work places, evaluate and prepare
CAPA and ensure the compliance
16. Conduct Hazard Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment for all Process and Operation in
plant premises
17. Training to all shop floor workmen on Existing Safe controls
18. Follow-up to compliance to al recommendations

19. Co –ordinate review the status of all recommendations

20. Issue and Monitoring of the work permits
21. Monitoring the PPE usage at workplace
22. Co-ordinate to implement OHS Management system
23. Co-ordinate to conduct Mock drill
24. Reporting to Manager
