DESIGN OBJECTIVES AND REQUIREMENTS

The principal thrust of this project proposal is to design a High

Density Oxo-biodegradable Polyethylene Manufacturing Plant that will produce

high product yield from the effective conversion of raw materials to meet the

growing market demand for the production of HDOPE resin.

This project design specifically aims to meet the following objectives for

the proposed plant to be socio-economically viable:

1. Provide an analysis for the three design options of a High Density Oxo-

biodegradable Polyethylene Plant the taking into consideration the

following:

1.1 . Technical Data

1.2 . Economic Information

2. Consider the technical aspects involved in designing the plant. This

includes the following:

2.1. Technical Design and Specification

2.2. Standards

2.3. Design Trade-offs

3. Conduct an economic analysis that will cover the following parameters:

3.1. Capital Expenditures

3.2. Operating Expenditures

3.3. Net Present Value

3.4. Rate of Return

3.5. Payback Period

4. Consider the environmental aspects of the proposed plant such as its

impacts on the environment, health and safety and the mitigation

measures to be employed in response to the impacts.

5. Provide a Project Construction Execution Plan for the proposed design.

This includes the following:

5.1. Construction Management

5.2. Project Scheduling

5.3. Quality Assurance and Control
