Dreamworks presents us with an unconventional story, where he leaves behind the
conventional blue prince and the beautiful princess full of luxuries, in return he wraps us with
the story of an ogre owner of a swamp and a princess who for fear of what they would say
about society is locked in a tower which is cutodiada by a dragon. None of the protagonists
believe in fairy tales because of the experiences they have lived, but as the story goes by it
shows how for each person there is a perfect other half.

1. FILM SUMMARY

Shrek is an ogre, moody who loses his quiet life when one day he meets a donkey that speaks,
and does not fear him despite his attempts to scare him and insists on keeping him company.
Shrek after not holding his insistence, allows him to stay in his swamp one night. However,
that same morning he discovers that his home has been invaded by many fairy-tale characters,
who were sent to the place by Lord Farquaad.

Donkey offers to help him find Lord Farquaad. because he knows where he lives and so ask
him to evict his swamp.

Lord Farquaad is the evil ruler of the town of Duloc, and is obsessed with becoming king, but
the only way to achieve this is to marry a princess.

When Shrek and the donkey arrive to make their request, he proposes to return their evicted
property in exchange for bringing Princess Fiona. Shrek accepts the deal and departs with
Donkey in search of the princess.

When they arrive at the castle to free the princess, the plan is for the donkey to distract the
dragon and thus shrek save the princess. On the way back to the castles, the three characters
decide to camp because night comes, she locks herself in a cave to rest and donkey tells shrek
to tell fiona of his love, to which he refuses, donkey enters the fiona cave to help Shrek, but
discovers that fiona is an ogre. So Fiona decides to tell Shrek her secret and live her love,

in the end Fiona does not marry Lord Farquaad and goes to live with Shrek to his swamp
forever
 2. PERSONAL OPINION

Shrek is a fun film, full of emotions and values that shows that the true essence of people is
within them and not in their physical appearance.

3. POSITIVE ASPECTS AND NEGATIVE ASPECTS

● Positive
Shrek is a fun movie full of values, this is different from the movies of its genre, The Ogre
turns out to be a hero loved by the princess, and the princess is an ogress. The characters teach
us to look inside people and to value their essence more than their appearance.

● Negative

In Shrek's film the issue of social, bodily, ethnic and cultural differences between the Hero and
the Ogress who is the Princess is very marked, these differences lead some people to try to
separate them.
