This resource is free and easy to access. ISTE Empowered Learning Standard states that students are able to show what they learn
in a creative and unique way.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Prezi is a free online presentation software that allows any person to create a display of information. There are templates you can
use, or blank canvases that come with text, pictures, graphics, and more. The unique part about Prezi are the unique visuals that
move the information from one topic to another. It is engaging to look at and easy to grasp.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION


How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students’ presentation/speaking/communication skills?

I would use Prezi in a lesson to allow students to show me what they know. In groups, or independently, students can make a
presentation that shows a recent novel we read, essay they wrote, or anything English related. The students will have the ability
to show what they know, but in their own unique way. Working on one Prezi within a group makes a space for cooperation and
teamwork.

 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?

In my opinion, Prezi is rated a 3 simply because of it’s wide dynamic of ways to involve it in education. I could even use Prezi to
present to my students. The user friendliness about it and the connection to ISTE standards is great. This integration would
benefit students substantially.
