ANTAROX L-61

The component(s) of ANTAROX L-61 are listed as suitable for use as an indirect food additive under the
following sections of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations:

173.340 Defoaming agents – Listed, with limitations.

For use only as: (1) a surfactant and defoaming agent, at levels not to exceed 0.05 percent by weight,
in scald baths for poultry defeathering, followed by a potable water rinse. The temperatures of the scald
baths shall not be less than 125 F;
(2) a foam control and rinse adjuvant in hog dehairing machines at a use level of not more than 5
grams per hog.

176.180 Components of paper and paperboard in contact with dry food – Listed, with no limitations

176.200 Defoaming agents used in coatings – Listed, with no limitations
