I am fluent in English so I am able to communicate confidently when speaking English to anyone.
My Swedish has development so I feel more confident talking to people in shops and of course my
family, however I would choose to speak English over Swedish as that is what I am most trained in.
Sometimes I don’t understand ‘old’ Swedish terms that mu mum has grown up with and also some
technical words however, I will happily have a conversation with someone in Swedish, despite
there being some possible grammatical errors.

I enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultural experiences. Even though I am half Swedish I
still get introduced to many different traditions and ways of living then what I am used to. For
example, Swedish people exchange presents on Christmas eve instead of Christmas day and they
also exchange eggs made of paper full of sweets instead of chocolate eggs at Eater.
I believe language barriers should not stop people from experiencing different cultures and that
people should be more experienced in different cultures and languages. I believe this will create a
new sense of tranquillity and acceptance.
When it comes to getting a job, you will most likely have to work with people from other countries,
or even travel yourself to a different country. I believe learning new languages is not just extremely
helpful but also good etiquette towards the people you are meeting.
I have previously studies French for 4 years throughout secondary school.
I would like to carry on with studying French.
I am very passionate about dance. One of the styles I have to dance is ballet, all the ballet moves
are in French and I believe studying French will allow me to understand and pick up the moves
quicker. I also want to dance at a professional level and if I end up dancing with I company on tour,
I may end up dancing in France, and so being able to speak the language will most likely be of use
to me.
I may encounter problems when it comes to speaking different tenses because that was a common
problem when I was studying at GCSE level.
I could face these challenges by practising lots and also gaining help from my teacher and peers. I
could make revision sources as I am a very visual learner.
