This letter introduces and describes this release, which is supported on the indicated platform(s).

This Release Contains

This release contains a partial release of AVEVA Integration Services (AIS) which upgrades the
full release 90266 (AIS1.0) or Partial releases 90277 (AIS 1.1).

Please do not install this release in a Windows XP or Windows 7 32 and 64-bit environment. This
is a partial release that ONLY applies to Windows 7 SP1 32 and 64-bit environments.

Important Notes:

 AIS 1.2.0.1 does not require AIS 1.0 or AIS 1.1 to be installed in the machine.
 If AIS 1.2.0.1 is installed on top of AIS 1.0 or AIS 1.1 then it automatically upgrades to AIS
1.2.0.1 version.
 When AIS 1.2.0.1 is uninstalled then all AIS components are completely uninstalled from
the machine.

This release supersedes the previous Middle Tier components (Integration Service components)
provided in the full release 90260 AVEVA P&ID 12.1 SP2 32bit and 90261 AVEVA P&ID 12.1
SP2 64bit and their subsequent Fixes (till Fix.6).

To install product release:

Please read the installation guide, which is visible on the DVD and will be placed under the
product\manuals folder.

Note: The AVEVA Integration Service product will be downloaded as an ISO file from the AVEVA
Support site. After downloading the AVEVA Integration Service product ISO file, extract the files
locally or on a shared path to install the Integration Service on a machine.

User can now connect to AVEVA Marine SP3 version along with other

this document to integrate with AVEVA P&ID product .

Notification Service Implementation.

Notification Service is used to send, receive, update and delete
notifications. It used to communicate between the Client and Integration
Service. Below screenshot is for reference.

Above screenshot contains,

Client: It will publish and subscribe notifications.
Notification Client Service: Used to establish communication between
client and integration service.
NA 173438 Integration Service: It will subscribe, store and publish notifications.
 Client sends the notification in the form of object to Notification
Service and Notification Service in turn sends it to Integration
Service. The notification is serialized and stored as an encrypted file
in the Integration Service server.
 When a new notification is available, the clients will be notified and
when requested for notification, Integration Service will send the
notifications to the client via Notification Service.
 When client deletes the notification it will be deleted from Integration
Service server.
 Whenever a notification is updated by the client, the update will be
notified to the Notification Service.

PID DRAWING STREAMING

This allows remote streaming of P&ID object types via integration services.
A new feature called „Stream P&ID Drawing‟ has been introduced in the
„Reflection Client‟ application. Using this option user can view the P&ID
component location in the drawing with the drawing viewer. User needs to
provide the information like „Record Type‟, „Drawing Name‟, „Record ID‟
and „Handle‟ as shown in below screenshot. After providing the information
user can click on „Show Drawing‟ to view the item in the P&ID drawing.

‘Convert Units’ option in ‘Reflection Client’ application.

Unit conversion feature in Dabacon will be supported with Integration
services.
A new option called „Convert Units‟ has been introduced in the „Reflection
Client‟ application. This application will be available in SampleClient folder
when AVEVA Integration Service is installed in the machine.
In below example the AIS is installed on „D‟ drive and the „SampleClient‟
folder location will be available at
“D:\Program Files\AVEVA\Shared\IntegrationClient\SampleClient”.
Using this feature user can convert the units like Distance, Volume and

PRODUCT QUALITY STATEMENT

The development, maintenance and testing of AVEVA Solutions‟ software products is carried out
in accordance with the company‟s KEYSTONE lifecycle processes and this document includes a
summary of the testing carried out on this release and a list of significant defects known to exist
at the time of release.

Development Testing
Developers have carried out unit testing of each enhancement and/or fix in the development
environment to verify that any new functionalities have been correctly implemented and identified
defects have been corrected.

Regression tests have been run in the development environment to verify that enhancements
and/or fixes have not adversely affected the integrity of the product.

System Testing
Limited independent system testing has been carried out on this product, as released, to verify
that it installs correctly in all supported configurations that any new functionalities have been
correctly implemented and identified defects have been corrected.

Acceptance Testing
AVEVA‟s TPS Group is satisfied that the System Testing for this release is sufficient to assure
product quality.

Any exceptions found during Acceptance Testing or after release will be reported in the Product
Release Latest Update Note on AVEVA's support web site
