Fashion has a greater impact on our everyday lives than we initially think. It is not just

about the clothes we wear, it is also how we wear them. I find fashion to be underappreciated

because a person can truly express themselves through the clothes they wear. Throughout my

whole life, I have always adored clothing. My mom dressed me in such appealing dresses, shirts,

pants, and skirts when I was little. In other words, I grew up knowing how to properly dress.

Doing so meant to wear whatever I wanted to wear and not let anyone tell me otherwise.

The clothes we wear is not the only thing fashion is considered. Fashion shines the light

onto the modern world we live in and it impacts the multiple trends that go around. Everybody

has their own style, which allows them to express who they are. I personally think fashion is the

key to how people can show who they are and why. In college, I want to major in Apparel,

Design, and Fashion Merchandising, so writing all about fashion would lead me to my future. I

would have the ability to learn more about fashion and the influence it makes.

I feel that more people should be educated on how fashion can impact their lives. It could

potentially allow them to show off the real them. I think this world does not know enough about

fashion. I believe the influence everybody has from fashion is different. Not everyone thinks the

same, so each person gets a different effect from it. Each fashion trend that happens, tends to

reflect off of social, political, and economic changes around us. Fashion is not just about

clothing, but the style people put behind it. The style is the basic design principle behind each

piece of clothing put together.

I am interested to know what other people think about fashion and the influence they

think it has. Once I do research and look at different articles, I think I will start to find my answer

to my question about the influence that fashion has. In addition, I also want to know why fashion

trends change so often.
