When I heard about the K-9 unit opening, I was delighted to apply. I have been looking
forward to being a part of your unit, because I have wanted to be a K-9 officer since I
was a junior in high school . I know I would be a great addition to your organization,
because I am courageous, brave, and confident that I will do a great job.

The first main quality that makes me right for this job is the fact that I am determined. I
am determined because this has been my dream job for a long time. My dad was a
police officer, and I want to follow in his steps. I want to help keep everyone safe.
Another skill that makes me a great employee is that I am highly efficient. I make sure
everything is done quickly and correctly. The last quality I have that sets me apart from
a crowd is the fact that I want to be a police officer in today’s society. Law enforcement
is no longer praised by the public, but instead criticized by people and social media. I
want to do my best to help bring back law enforcement’s good reputation. I believe I will
be a good asset because I am strong-willed, productive, and valorous.
