Activities to develop

Part 1: After checking the Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal Verbs, write 1 sentence using each one of
the modal verbs regarding your duties and rights as UNAD student: can – could – may - must
- should - ought to – have to – need to- had better - would.

Example:

 I must follow the netiquette rules to participate in the forum.

 I can’t present the English quiz three times because there are only two attempts.

Part 1

- As a student I can access the E-library

- If I finish all the academic credits I could graduate

- If I am a collaborator with my colleagues, they may be too

- as a UNAD student I must respect my classmates

- the unadista student should stand out for his effort and autonomy of education

- UNAD tutors should socialize more with their students

- UNAD needs to improve its laboratories to develop more face-to-face practices

Part 2: According to the topic Past Progressive (Unit 1: Topic 3), each student must write 5
things you were doing recently and 5 things you were not:

Example: I was reading the new book by Stephen King.

Part 3: Write a text about how you imagine yourself in ten years. Use at least two pictures
related to your text. You should write four paragraphs:

Example: I will work in a multimedia company in New York.

 Paragraph 1: Introduce yourself.

 Paragraph 2: Your working life.
 Paragraph 3: Your loved life.
 Paragraph 4: Your sporting life.

Each paragraph must have minimum four (4) sentences and maximum six (6) sentences. It
must have a title, from 230 words to 250 and it is necessary to use and highlight the following
topics:

 Modal verbs
 Future
 Phrasal verbs
Hello my name is Roger Bryan Betancourth A. I am 35 years old I live in the city of Pasto
Nariño. I currently work at the University of Nariño as an Electrical Technician. I am
married. I have 2 children and I am studying telecommunications engineering and I am
studying the sixth semester.

In ten years, my projection is to have my own electrical and telecommunications services

company where I can develop large social impact projects since my idea is to graduate as a
telecommunications engineer at UNAD and develop in the area of engineering
telecommunications

My love life I hope to continue the same as until now with a beautiful wife and my
children, who every day grow more like the company of my mother, my brother, my
maternal grandmother, who are the closest people to my life whom I love and respect.
much in addition to the presence of my faithful pet friend my dog that has been in our lives
for 8 years and who we love very much.

My sports life I hope to be able to recover it since at present I do not constantly develop
physical activities for the time that they imply and that at present it is difficult but in the
future I hope to change this lifestyle and improve my physical state to maintain good
mental health and body
